Youth Summer Nature Camps:
Lawrence County Conservation District is hosting two Nature Camps this summer.
Camp 1- Advanced Nature Camp:
Advanced Nature Camp will consist of 3 days - each at a different location designed for children ages 12 -17. Campers will learn and discover the uniqueness and importance of water, soil, trees, plants, wildlife and much more through fun and interactive hands0on lessons, activities, games and crafts.
When: June 25th, 26th, 27th
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Entry will cover all activities, presentations, giveaways, snacks and drinks.
Camp 2- Summer Nature Camp: (More Information Coming)
2023's Nature Camp was a week long day - camp designed for children ages 8-11, where they learned and discovered the uniqueness and importance of water, soil, trees, plants, wildlife and much more. Children engaged in fun and interactive hands-on lessons, activities, games, and crafts that allow them to explore their natural environment.
When: Summer 2024 (2023 Nature Camp was held in July)
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

LCSA is sponsoring 2 campers for the Advanced Nature Camp (Ages 12-17) and 2 campers for the Summer Nature Camp (Ages 8-11). We would like to fill these spots with the youth of LCSA Members.
*A box is setup in the clubhouse to collect entries. There are slips of paper asking for information for each youth entered. We will also accept entries via email: shootlcsa@gmail.com (Make the subject of the email 'LCCD 2024 Summer Camp Entry', and please specify which age group: Ages 8-11 or Ages 12-17)

SASP PA State Match:
LCSA is hosting the PA State Match for SASP (Scholastic Action Shooting Program). The Upper Pistol Bays will be closed: May 24- Set up, May 25 & 26 - Matches.
2024 Rust Belt Regional Championship:
The Upper Pistol Bays and Indoor Pistol Range will be closed for the Rust Belt Regional Championship. Set up will start the week of 5/28- 5/30. Matches will be held May 31 - June 1.
Falling Steel World Series:
Vortex Optics Presents the 2024 Falling Steel World Series. The Upper Pistol Bays will be closed July 5-7 for this event. More information below under "Events".
Can-Am Games:
All three Skeet Fields will be closed on July 20th, all day. More information below under "Events".
Area 8 SCSA Championship:
The Upper Pistol Bays will be closed for the Area 8 set up :July 21-24
Upper Pistol Bays and Indoor Range will be closed for Matches: July 25-28
Shoot Sig Match:
The Upper Pistol Bays will be closed for the Shoot Sig Match on August 2-4, 2024. The Shoot Sig Match is an fundraising opportunity for the SASP LCYG Range Racers. More information to come on this Event.
Club Bulletin Board:
The clubhouse bulletin board has been given a fresh look. The boards have been categorized into 3 sections: Events/News, Buy/Sell/Trade, and Advertising.
When posting items to the board, please be respectful of other members postings. We are pleased to announce the addition of a dedicated Advertising section to our bulletin boards. This new feature allows our members to showcase their skills, hobbies, or professional services by posting business cards and/or a brief description. This space serves as a valuable opportunity for our skilled members to connect with fellow LCSA members.

Buy, Sell, Trade Posting Rules:
For any member looking to utilizing the board, please adhere by the following rules.
1.Items for sale may only be posted by club members.
2.Write the date on the item(s) to be posted.
3.For Sale items will be removed 30 days after posting. Please post again if the item(s) are not sold or you would like them posted again.
4.Wanted items will be removed 60 days after posting. Please post again if still wanted.
Indoor .22 Rifle Shoot:
The Monday night .22 Rifle Shoots have finished for the year. They will be looking to possible resume in January 2025. More information on the shoots and start date will be available closer to the new year.
Bullseye Target Shooting:
The Bullseye Target Shooting group is now meeting on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. at the Indoor Pistol Range.
Ammo for Sale:
We have 12 gauge shotgun shells for sale. They are available on Sundays only from
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.. Shell information below:

Club Reminders:
Buy, Sell, Trade: Looking to down size or add to your collection? In search of something specific? Members are able to post items on the bulletin board in the clubhouse.
Make sure to check it out, you never know what you might find!
Rifle Range Guest Policy: Rifle Range Guests, who are shooting, are permitted on Sundays ONLY from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Members may only bring 2 guests at a time per day. Guests need to be registered at the clubhouse counter before proceeding down to the range. The first 2 guests per year per member are $10 each. Subsequent guests after the initial 2 of the year are $25 per guest per day. Any member violating the guest policy is subject to loss of membership privileges.
Junior Members becoming an Adult Member:
The month a Junior Member turns 18 years old, and wishes to continue their membership, they are eligible to become an Adult Members. They will need to complete/submit an application and attend a 'New Member Meeting'. The $100 initiation fee is waived, however there will be the fees for the Membership and key card. * Please add a note on the completed application that they are transferring from a Junior Member to an Adult Member.

SASP State Shoot:
When: Set-up~ May 24, Matches~ May 25 - 26, 2024
Where: Upper Pistol Bays
LCSA is hosting the 2024 SASP (Scholastic Action Shooting Program) State Shoot for the youth shooters of PA. Numerous scholastic shooting teams will be visiting our club May 25th & 26th. The matches will be held in the Upper Pistol Bays. Therefore, starting May 24th, this area will be closed due to set up for the event. The LCYG Range Racers will be participating in this match.
2024 Rust Belt Regional Championship
This is a Tier 3 Match. There will be 11 stages with an approximate round count of 180.
There will be one low light stage indoors so plan accordingly.
Divisions: SSP, ESP, CDP, CCP, PCC, BUG, REV & CO
Classes: DM, MA, EX, SS, MM & NV
Lunch will be provided after the match at the time of awards.

Falling Steel World Series:
Vortex Optics Presents the 2024 Falling Steel World Series. The match will consist of 7 stages, 25-35 falling steel targets per stage.
When: July 5-7, 2024
Starting Times: 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM each day. Please arrive and check in at least 30 minutes prior to your start time.
Registration: Pre- Registration only on Practiscore
Entry Fee: $75 first gun; $65 each additional gun. Shooters may shoot multiple divisions, one entry per time slot, one entry per division.
Mulligans can be purchased for $25 each.
FREE SHIRT- Free Falling Steel World Series Shirt to every shooter registered by June 9th.

Can-Am Games:
The Can-Am Games is a multi-sport Olympic style event that gives competitors from Fire & Rescue, Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical Services, and all other types of first responders along with their spouses and children, over age 18, the opportunity to participate in competitions that include skills used in first responders' day-to-day work!
We are excited to announce that we are one of the location that has been selected to host the Skeet portion of the upcoming games. To ensure the success of this event, all three Skeet Fields will be in use and consequently closed during this time.

The Precision Defense Area 8 Steel Challenge Championship:
Welcome to The Precision Defense Area 8 Steel Challenge Championship.
All thirteen USPSA Steel Challenge divisions will be shot at the match.
All eight stages will be available including a sight-in bay.
Lunch will be available Saturday afternoon for $10 but will be free with 4 guns entered, proceeds go to the LCYG Range Racer SASP Team. It will be a pulled pork or beef sandwich with chips and pop.
The entry fee for ALL guns for ALL competitors, regardless of age, is $70.00 per gun. Enter 4 guns and lunch is free on Saturday. You pay the entry fee at the time of registration and we'll immediately approve you for squadding. You are responsible for squadding your entries. You can shoot any gun during any flight.
Awards will be given Sunday shortly after the last flight, there will be trophies and medals.

Archery:
Returning to the 3D Bowhunter Trail on Thursdays!
The LCSA Omega Twang Gang is now meeting on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. to shoot the 3D Course. You never know, the aerial target thrower may be out to try your luck! All are welcome, no matter what level of shooting experience or type of bow. Event details listed below:

Cost: $5 for Members/ $10 for Non-members/ Kids 16 and under shoot free.
30 3-D targets on the trail. Shoot as many times as you want.

Bullseye League:
At this time the group will continue shooting in the Indoor Pistol Range until the day light extends later into the evening hours. Once there is more daylight the group is planning to continue outdoors Bullseye (Precision Pistol) shooting in the Pistol Bays.
NRA 50 foot pistol targets will be used for slow, time, and rapid fire controlled by the range officer.
Any member wishing to learn how to shoot Bullseye or increase their skill at shooting Bullseye are welcome to shoot with the group. We have a mix of Guy and Gal shooters.
