News:
Changes to Trap Field #1:
Due to lack of use, Trap Field #1 will no longer be set to throw Doubles. It will be converted to Singles and Wobble. The transition will take place after July 15, 2024.
Falling Steel World Series:
Vortex Optics Presents the 2024 Falling Steel World Series. The Upper Pistol Bays will be closed July 5-7 for this event. More information below under "Events".
Can-Am Games:
All three Skeet Fields will now be OPEN on July 20th, all day. Can-Am Games will not be needing our skeet fields due to low registration numbers.
Area 8 SCSA Championship:
The Upper Pistol Bays will be closed for the Area 8 set up: July 21-24
Upper Pistol Bays and Indoor Range will be closed for Matches: July 25-28
Shoot Sig Match:
The Upper Pistol Bays will be closed for the Shoot Sig Match on August 2-4, 2024. More information below under "Event".
Steel Target Approval:
Reminder: All outside steel targets need to be pre-approved by the Board of Directors prior to usage on club property. Targets can be approved on meeting nights, third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m..
Indoor Range Safe Area:
The Indoor Range will be closed and used as a safe area during all shooting matches held at the Upper Pistol Bays.
This includes the following Upcoming Matches:
- Monthly IDPA Matches
- Monthly USPSA Matches
- Monthly Steel Challenge Matches
- Falling Steel World Series (7/5 - 7/7)
- Area 8 (7/25 - 7/28)
- Shoot Sig (8/2 - 8/4)
Indoor Pistol Range Rules:
Attention members using the Indoor Pistol Range: Please keep in mind that the door leading into the shooting range from the waiting area must be kept closed at all times, with the exception of entering and exiting the range. Do not prop the door open for any reason.
Club Bulletin Board:
The clubhouse bulletin board has been given a fresh look. The boards have been categorized into 3 sections: Events/News, Buy/Sell/Trade, and Advertising.
When posting items to the board, please be respectful of other members postings. We are pleased to announce the addition of a dedicated Advertising section to our bulletin boards. This new feature allows our members to showcase their skills, hobbies, or professional services by posting business cards and/or a brief description. This space serves as a valuable opportunity for our skilled members to connect with fellow LCSA members.
Buy, Sell, Trade Posting Rules:
For any member looking to utilizing the board, please adhere by the following rules.
1.Items for sale may only be posted by club members.
2.Write the date on the item(s) to be posted.
3.For Sale items will be removed 30 days after posting. Please post again if the item(s) are not sold or you would like them posted again.
4.Wanted items will be removed 60 days after posting. Please post again if still wanted.
Bullseye Target Shooting:
The Bullseye Target Shooting group is now meeting on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. at the Indoor Pistol Range.

Club Reminders:
Buy, Sell, Trade: Looking to downsize or add to your collection? In search of something specific? Members are able to post items on the bulletin board in the clubhouse.
Make sure to check it out, you never know what you might find!
Rifle Range Guest Policy: Rifle Range Guests, who are shooting, are permitted on Sundays ONLY from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Members may only bring 2 guests at a time per day. Guests need to be registered at the clubhouse counter before proceeding down to the range. The first 2 guests per year per member are $10 each. Subsequent guests after the initial 2 of the year are $25 per guest per day. Any member violating the guest policy is subject to loss of membership privileges.
Junior Members becoming an Adult Member:
The month a Junior Member turns 18 years old, and wishes to continue their membership, they are eligible to become an Adult Members. They will need to complete/submit an application and attend a 'New Member Meeting'. The $100 initiation fee is waived, however there will be the fees for the Membership and key card. * Please add a note on the completed application that they are transferring from a Junior Member to an Adult Member.

Falling Steel World Series:

Vortex Optics Presents the 2024 Falling Steel World Series. The match will consist of 7 stages, 25-35 falling steel targets per stage.
When: July 5-7, 2024
Starting Times: 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM each day. Please arrive and check in at least 30 minutes prior to your start time.
Registration: Only on Practiscore
Entry Fee: $75 first gun; $65 each additional gun. Shooters may shoot multiple divisions, one entry per time slot, one entry per division.
Mulligans can be purchased for $25 each.

The Precision Defense Area 8 Steel Challenge Championship:
Open to Members and Public
When: July 25-28, 2024
Where: LCSA
Match Fee: $70 per gun
Welcome to The Precision Defense Area 8 Steel Challenge Championship.
All thirteen USPSA Steel Challenge divisions will be shot at the match.
All eight stages will be available including a sight-in bay.
Lunch will be available Saturday afternoon for $10 but will be free with 4 guns entered, proceeds go to the LCYG Range Racer SASP Team. It will be a pulled pork or beef sandwich with chips and pop.
The entry fee for ALL guns for ALL competitors, regardless of age, is $70.00 per gun. Enter 4 guns and lunch is free on Saturday. You pay the entry fee at the time of registration, and we'll immediately approve you for squadding. You are responsible for squadding your entries. You can shoot any gun during any flight.
Awards will be given Sunday shortly after the last flight, there will be trophies and medals.

Where: LCSA Upper Pistol Bays
Cost: $45 -Initial Registration (Additional Fees added for additional divisions)
Whether you’re new to shooting competitions or an experienced competitor, you’ll enjoy 3 approachable stages that can be completed in just 100 rounds and an hour. Compete again in the same or another division for a discounted match fee. Bring any pistol or PCC or try out a new SIG pistol or PCC for an additional fee. You must be a SHOOT SIG member and shoot a SIG firearm to be eligible for prizes.

American Woodcock Society Northern Ohio Chapter Fun Shoot:
Open to Members and Public
When: Saturday, July 20, 2024
Time: 8:00 - 8:30 AM Registration; 8:30 AM Shotgun Start; 12 Noon Lunch(After Shooting)
Cost: $85 per shooter includes 100 targets of sporting clays and lunch. Ammunition not included.
Carts Available: Carts are available for $40 and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment is required to reserve a cart. Shooters are welcome to bring their own carts.
American Woodcock Society is raising money to fund their habitat projects for wildlife.

AFA Steel Valley Chapter 371 "YARBCC" Shoot:

PFSC Northwest Division Fun Shoot:
Open to Members and Public
When: Saturday, August 17, 2024
Time: Arrival by 9:00 AM; Squad formation 9:00 – 9:30 AM; Safety briefing 9:30 AM; Shooting starts after briefing

Cost: $75/shooter
Organizations Benefitting from Proceeds: PA Federation of Sportsmen and Conservationists (PFSC) and the NW Division PFSC
What’s Included: 100-rounds of sporting clays, use of golf carts by each 4-person squad, a taco bar lunch, opportunities to participate in basket raffles, a buy-in gun raffle for shooters only with additional tickets awarded at one of the stations based on score and any special clay target hit, instant gun raffles limited to 20 tickets at $20, and a 50-50 raffle.
Other: Non-shooters can purchase the taco bar lunch if desired. As a Fun Shoot, first time sporting clays shooters are welcome and will be coached as needed.
Shot Size: Only shot sizes between 7.5 and 9 can be used at LCSA.
Archery:
Come Shoot the 3D Bowhunter Trail on Thursdays!
The LCSA Omega Twang Gang is meeting on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. to shoot the 3D Course. You never know, the aerial target thrower may be out to try your luck! All are welcome, no matter what level of shooting experience or type of bow. Event details listed below:

Bullseye League:
At this time the group will continue shooting in the Indoor Pistol Range until the day light extends later into the evening hours. Once there is more daylight the group is planning to continue outdoors Bullseye (Precision Pistol) shooting in the Pistol Bays.
NRA 50-foot pistol targets will be used for slow, time, and rapid fire controlled by the range officer.
Any member wishing to learn how to shoot Bullseye or increase their skill at shooting Bullseye are welcome to shoot with the group. We have a mix of Guy and Gal shooters.
