"GOD'S PLANS FOR OUR LIVES" - PART 2

Rev. George Spicer met Rev. David Schultz as a youth. Schultz was making an outreach visit to the Spicer household in Arizona as Pastor Schultz was serving as a pastor there. The two men formed a mentorship relationship soon after.

Like his mentor, Rev. Spicer had an interest in providing his community the Gospel message through radio. Spicer rose from an entry level position at a local radio station to become a leader in a network of stations.

While quite successful, in his late 30's Spicer sensed the internal call of God - a call to study for the Office of the Holy Ministry. With a tremendous amount of support from his spouse and church home, Spicer progressed through the seminary and was ordained into the pastoral office.

In this interview, Spicer traces the path of the hand of God as he served pastorates in the St. Louis area and in South Carolina, only to return to Phoenix. Along the way, Spicer met and served beside many outstanding lay-leaders. Over the years, Spicer learned how to support a vigorous outreach ministry, how to provide engaging adult catechesis, and how to assimilate new church members into the church’s mission.

God blessed these efforts. For example, in Phoenix the Lord grew the local congregation from 15 people to well over three hundred souls in worship. COVID’s effect on the church is also discussed by Spicer. Take a listen to Rev. Spicer and discover the surprising ways the Lord moves in his life. Rev. Dr. Douglas Krengel hosts.

"LIBERTY ACTION ALERT"

Join Rev. Dr. Greg Seltz and his guest Zachary Mettler, Staff Writer and Communications Liaison for The Daily Citizen as they discuss the antisemitism bill in Congress and the legitimate concerns that the LCRL and other conservative organizations have, not with the principle of the bill, but with the vague language that could be misused against the Christian Church. Because of the rising violence associated with antisemitism, public and moral clarity is needed, but clarity of language is also a must in limiting the misuse of the coercive power of government in this regard. Listen in for the legal, the cultural, and the faith perspective on these vital issues as we continue to grow in the wisdom needed to be 2 Kingdom citizens for the country we love. Join us!
