ADVOCACY IN ACTION
VICTORY (for now) -- LA City Vacancy Ordinance Stopped

The City made a motion on Wednesday, June 24th, not to move forward with a vacancy tax on the November 2020 ballot. Instead, a new motion was made to include it on the 2022 ballot. Along with stakeholders, BIA helped stopped the original initiative. Much more work lies ahead, but we're glad that housing will not be taxed this year. Read our letter here .
