We enter the new year with excitement over the progress we have made and the promise of greater Jewish learning and engagement opportunities for our growing membership. As of August 15th, our Kol Ami family has risen to 420 memberships! This represents a 40% growth in membership in just the last four years. Congregation Kol Ami is fortunate to be a blended diverse Jewish family. We are senior and young, we come from different backgrounds, we are straight and gay, we are participatory, generous, traditional, and progressive.

Under the dynamic leadership of Rabbi Spector we are offering deeper Jewish understanding, more engagement in social action, broader community relations, and increasing our fundraising support. We are so excited to have a new Cantor, Adam Davis, leading us in prayer and song, sharing traditional Conservative and Reform melodies, and introducing us to meaningful new Jewish music. Our goal is to offer engaging prayer and programming opportunities for every age group and demographic. We have built a skilled and dedicated staff in support of our membership, clergy, and growth.

Addressing increasing antisemitism and threats to our community and synagogue, we are reinforcing our security by upgrading our physical and technological infrastructure and police presence. Your safety is our number one priority!

To achieve these goals requires more funds than our dues, fees, and tuition provide, and our commitment is to never turn away anyone due to financial insecurity. We are appealing to you to prioritize Kol Ami for your donations. Please show your support for our community, our staff, and the sacred work we are doing to embody our Jewish values. Your donations help us to provide a safe and secure Jewish home where we celebrate joyous occasions and support one another in times of need.

We are grateful for your membership and generosity, and we hope you are inspired by all that we are accomplishing together.

"You shall accept gifts for Me from everyone whose heart is so moved."

—Exodus/Shemot Chap. 25

Shofar Blowing Class with Larry Green • Contact the office and let us know the best time to attend our classes (weekday or weekend). Tekiah!

You know how you feel when you hear the Shofar for the first time each year? Now, YOU can BE the one sounding the shofar to awaken the inner self at Rosh Hashanah. This summer, we are recruiting the next class of students! We'll provide practice tubes and teach you the simple techniques to create the sounds everyone loves. If you have a shofar, bring it along; if not, you can use one of ours.
