Volunteers Needed – Central Union Mission
The Central Union Mission Family Ministry Center (FMC) in Washington DC is now allowing limited volunteer opportunities. Previously we had a small team of three or four KCC folks who volunteered one day a month to work at the FMC preparing food packages and shopping carts for folks. Lighter work is also available in the clothing area.
The FMC clients are provided shopping carts of food in the parking lot. We depart from the KCC parking lot around 7:30am and normally return around 12:30. The FMC has the following Covid protocol in place:
- All volunteers will receive a temperature check when they arrive
- All volunteers will wear masks throughout the duration of their service
- All volunteers will socially distance
- All volunteers will sign a covid-19 waiver in addition to the regular volunteer agreement
At this time there are two volunteers and we need one or two others to join us. Please let me know if your interested in joining the team or if you would like additional information. Glenn Keller (glenn.keller@hotmail.com)

Mission Update: Good News Jail Ministry (Fairfax County)
In these times of change, the gospel of Jesus Christ remains the same – the power of God unto salvation, as seen in the following:
In late May, after more than a year away from the jail, a faithful volunteer returned to minister God’s Word to women. A clear and powerful presentation of the gospel led to an invitation: “Does anyone here today want to give your heart to Jesus?” One young woman leapt to her feet. “I do, I do”! Jesus still seeks and saves the lost!
In these changing times, please pray for:
- Clear gospel presentations
- New births and spiritual growth
- Spirit empowered teaching of God’s Word
- Fruitful conversations with staff
By His abounding grace,
Vic and Suebee
Fairfax County ADC

Children's Vision International Inc (CVII) Bogota, Colombia – Update
In anticipation of the children returning to school, CVII sent out an appeal in January this year for donations to purchase school clothes and new shoes for 200 children (all sizes, boys/girls). They needed 400 pairs that would provide each child with 2 pairs of shoes. In March, the Mission Ministry approved $250 for the purchase of these items. CVII advises that God blessed them with 800 pairs of shoes. What a Miracle! We truly serve an incredible God. Thank you Knollwood for your continued support.
