 Technical Food For Thought:
  • Do the standard Code Calcs cover the problem with your vessel?Perhaps a Design by analysis approach using the FEA methods will get the job done. We have the track record to get the job done.
  • Was it a quick failure or was it over years when the shaft broke? Don't Know? Sometimes the answer lies with a good SEM and the right interpretation of results.
  • Compressor Surge? It maybe inlet flow problems or guide vane interaction with the impeller. Our rotating group has over 250 years of experience in dealing with complex problem in Turbomachinery. We have developed complex CFD solutions to get the right answer. We are a one stop shop with CFD, FEA, Rotordynamics, Field Services, and Metallurgical and Materials.
  • A slug hit it? Maybe not, it could just be plain high cycle fatigue due to faulty design. Our Materials group can get to the bottom of it in our lab.  If numerical analysis is required, our materials team can work directly with the specialty engineering group to find the right answer.
