 Technical Food For Thought:
  • Are there hydrodynamic anomalies in your systems? A CFD analysis will provide a detailed picture of local velocity gradients, temperature gradients and density gradients to determine causes of short-circuiting in separation systems.
  • Is your filtration system working to capacity? KHE can perform a detailed CFD analysis to determine the effects of porosity, adsorption coefficients, tortuosity, and particle diameter on the functioning of your granular or membrane filters.
  • Is your data representative of reality? KHE can perform testing and sampling of both pilot-scale and large scale systems to determine the efficiency  of your separation systems. We can perform complete field studies looking at all the parameters that may be causing the problem.
  • Is your separator working efficiently or at all?  A CFD analysis of the separation process, including all phases can shed some light on your problem.  KHE has provided many a successful design in complex separation processes.  We have the track record to get the job done.
