 Technical Food For Thought:     
  • Cladding Problems in high temperature service? Sometimes in high temperature services cladding can be an issue.  Particularly where there are high thermal gradients present.  Perhaps an  FEA model characterizing the heat transfer and thermal response will provide insight to the problem.  KHE has analyzed many clad systems using non-linear approaches.  We are your one stop shop.  Our static equipment group has over 200 years of experience in vessels and many involving complex risk management issues.
  • Is the gas path a problem with your compressor or is it the blade design? Perhaps an aerothermo analysis will provide valuable data to understand what is going on.  KHE can evaluate the mechanical and process response using CFD and FEA tools.  Our rotating group has over 250 years of experience in dealing with complex problems in Turbomachinery.
  • What is moving around on the elevated turbine compressor train?  Maybe the turbine, compressor, and elevated structure needs to be instrumented to help get to the root cause of any vibration problems.   Our field services  group can serve your needs by field troubleshooting to get the data you need. KHE can take data and determine what the cause is.
  • What has happened to the rubber seal? In these situations sometimes and SEM evaluation will tell the story with proper characterization by our KHE staff.  Our Materials group can get to the bottom of it in our lab.
