Important Updates

Georgia Medicaid Changes Policy on Reporting Sick Visits with Well-Visits*


May 7, 2024- In February, DCH announced a major policy change that will now allow the reporting of E&M codes 99202-99205 and 99211-99215, when also reporting a preventive EPSDT visit for children enrolled in Medicaid & PeachCare. The change was retroactive to January 1, 2024 and applies to the Medicaid CMO's and Medicaid FFS.

ADHD Medication Shortages- Letter to HHS*


The ongoing shortage of ADHD medication continues to be an issue. Last week, the AAP, AACAP and CHA sent this letter to HHS expressing continued concern about ongoing stimulant medication shortages, and the impact these shortages are having on patients and families.


Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden and Ranking Member Mike Crapo released a draft legislation [finance.senate.gov] to combat prescription drug shortages.

KHF Vaccine Program - Sanofi (including Vaccine Shoppe) System Upgrade - Blackout Dates 5/24/2024 - 6/3/2024


Sanofi will be experiencing a temporary service disruption at due to system upgrades. This will affect your ability to place orders for a short period in late May and early June.  If you order Merck through Vaccine Shoppe – it will apply to those vaccines as well.  It does not affect Merck Direct Vaccine Orders.

 

To minimize any inconvenience, Sanofi has recommend adjusting your upcoming orders accordingly. Please note the following key dates:


  • Recommended last day to place stocking order: May 17
  • Last day for online orders: May 20
  • Last day for phone orders: May 23
  • System blackout: May 24 – June 3
  • System Ramp Up Impact: June 3 – June 17
  • Special/Urgent orders: Available beginning June 3, subject to potential delays
