Dear KHF Providers and Practice Administrators,

We have several updates to share regarding payor updates, programs and upcoming events. There is a lot of information, and we want to make sure we are keeping our membership informed. We recommend reading through this communication in its entirety and please reach out to us with any questions you may have!

Important Updates

Human Trafficking Hotline Poster Requirement*

Effective July 1, 2024 and in accordance with Georgia law, medical offices are required to a post a notice giving individuals a method to contact the National Human Trafficking Hotline and the Statewide Georgia Hotline for Domestic Minor Trafficking.

Download the poster here and place in a visible location in your patient facing restrooms.

This requirement is effective immediately.

View the press release for more information.

GA DCH RFP Update*

The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) released a Request for Proposal (RFP) in 2023 to evaluate Care Management Organizations (CMO’s) for a new Medicaid contract effective 2025. DCH is evaluating all CMO’s who submitted a proposal to ensure they meet the requirements of the Georgia Medicaid program. The CMO’s providing service in Georgia today are Amerigroup, CareSource, and Peach State Health Plans. DCH has not released the results of their RFP, but an announcement is tentatively expected in mid to late 2024.

For practices that participate in TCCN payor contracts:

To ensure member practices are well positioned, TCCN proactively signed Letters of Agreement/Intent with all CMO’s who submitted a proposal to DCH. If a practice receives an email, call, or contract from a Medicaid CMO trying to recruit for their network, you are under no obligation to sign their documents. Instead, please refer them to The Children’s Care Network at contact@tccn-choa.org or 404-785-0101.
