Upcoming Events

The season is quickly approaching, and we have lots of great events in store! Please be sure to read our Cleveland emails regularly for updates and action items. Check out these important dates:

3/22 - renewed members and guests RSVP for the kickoff

3/31 - deadline to renew with LPGA Amateurs

4/6 - kickoff event and swap meet (Guests Welcome)

The Cleveland website is updated. You can find Events information on the homepage and under Events. We’re looking forward to a fun time at the annual Kick Off! Here’s everything you need to know:

Join us as we welcome our 2024 Golf Season!

2024 Kick Off Event - Guests Welcome

When: Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Where: Mallard Creek Golf Club, 34500 Royalton Road, Columbia Station.

Time: 11 am -1:45 pm – with optional 9-hole tee times beginning at 2:15 p.m.

Cost: $24* plus processing fees

Schedule:

11-12:30: Swap Meet, KD's Crafts items for sale, Simulator Contests with prizes (Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive) and socialize.

12:30-1:45: Buffet Lunch and speakers. Speakers are President Helen Oshaben, LPGA pro Pam Stefanik and personal stylist/golfer Marcia Frankino.

2:15: Optional 9-hole tee times begin. Cost is $20 with cart (pay separately at course)

This year's Kick Off will include a fun lunch, simulator competitions (with prizes!), LPGA Pro Pam Stefanik, and sponsors KD's Crafts, selling her handmade, golf-themed bags and accessories and Marcia Frankino will talk about style on the course.

We had such a great time last year - we're bringing back the Swap Meet! Bring your gently used golf equipment, clothes, shoes to sell or trade and take away items you'd like from others. (Most items are free - and remaining items can be donated.) You don't want to miss this fun event!

All-Ontario Scramble Open

June 1 - 2

Hidden Lake Golf Club in Burlington, Ontario (one hour drive from Niagara Falls)

All 7 Ontario Chapters are hosting this 2 day event and have invited neighboring US Chapters. The event features a shotgun start each day, plus evening dinner reception Saturday night. This is a competitive event but teams without handicaps are welcome to join the non-competitive division.

Friendly Individual Inter-Chapter Competition

The Western New York LPGA Chapter is hosting 4 LPGA Ams members (4 person team) from each of the following Chapters: Cleveland, Hamilton-Burlington (ON), Rochester (NY), Toledo (OH), Toronto (ON) and Niagara Region (ON) to compete in this event.

NOTE: This event will be open to the first 4 persons who RSVP. Cost of event is $90 (may be higher when green fees are confirmed) and will include golf, tee gift, awards and post-round appetizers. HCP cap of 36 as of June 17 handicap index. Awards for team low gross & low net, individual low gross & low net, best dressed and chapter spirit.

Our Chapter is excited to be included in this prestigious event hosted by NOGA for 72 of the most accomplished member golfers from the following organizations (12 per chapter): Cleveland Women's Golf Association, Greater Cleveland Golf Association, LPGA Amateurs Golf Association (Cleveland Chapter), Toledo Women's District Golf Association and Women's Akron District Golf Association.

We are excited to offer this competitive opportunity by invitation to the members with lowest handicaps from our organization! Further information will be sent late April.

It's TIME to RENEW

The renewal deadline is March 31st. After that date, you will have to rejoin the Chapter at the higher rejoin rate. Be sure to renew now to be able to participate in all the activities and benefits our Chapter membership has for 2024 (including GHIN handicap at discounted rate). Be sure to check out our upcoming calendar of events on our website. We have a lot of planned activities for our members!

LPGA Amateurs Team Championship Registration Opened March 14

Phase 1 registration for the 2024 LPGA Amateurs Team Championship will opened on Thursday, March 14 at 1:00pm EST and closes on Monday, March 18 at 11:59pm EST. This popular event will be held on June 14-15 at Bayonet and Black Horse in Seaside, CA. Click here for more event details .

Reminder: all 2023 memberships expired on 12/31/23 and members have until 3/31/24 to renew at the regular rate before being charged the rejoin rate. Those who haven't renewed their membership are considered no longer current. Members must be current in their dues to register and participate in Association-wide and Chapter events.
