More Than 4 Million More Workers Will Start Getting Paid Overtime Under New Rule


The U.S. Department of Labor’s overtime rule, introduced in August 2023, aims to raise the salary threshold for white-collar exemptions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the threshold for highly compensated employees (HCEs). The new rule will require employers to review their payroll policies and reexamine compensation packages for their workers.

Purdue, IEDC, Belgian Firm Partner to Advance Indiana’s Semiconductor Industry

 

The Indiana Economic Development Corp., Purdue University, and Belgium-based Imec have committed over $10 million over five years to advancing semiconductor research and development in Indiana. This agreement is part of broader efforts to boost Indiana's semiconductor industry, including significant investments in research facilities and workforce development initiatives.
