Greetings!
There is still time to ensure that you can join Kent for
Messiah at Carnegie Hall – he leads Handel’s beloved classic with the
Oratorio Society of New York on
December 19 and
Musica Sacra on
December 23. See below for soloists and ticket links!
If you are in or near Cincinnati on
December 7 & 8, catch Kent’s guest appearance leading
Messiah with
Collegium Cincinnati at Christ Church Cathedral.
The Cathedral of St. John the Divine is a wonderful holiday destination, and Kent is there to lead two of New York’s treasured events:
A Cathedral Christmas on
December 14, and the famed
New Year’s Eve Concert for Peace,
December 31.
General admission seats for New Year's Eve are free; reserved seats can be purchased now.
And
Christmas Eve services are open to all (with special guests at 10:30 PM!):
- 4 PM: The Cathedral Choristers are joined by members of the Cathedral Choir in this family-friendly service, featuring readings, Christmas carols, and larger-than-life puppets to tell the Christmas story. Associate Choirmaster Bryan Zaros and Associate Music Director Raymond Nagem join Kent in leading this service.
- 10:30 PM: Christmas Eve Festal Eucharist features Kent leading the Cathedral Choirs and Orchestra performing festive mass settings and anthems, as well as classic Christmas carols. Special guests Paul Winter and Susanna Phillips join to celebrate the Christmas spirit.
I am privileged to be Music Director for these three organizations. If your year-end contributions can support any or all of them, I am eternally grateful!
