KSU Spring Football Game Set for Friday Night

Kennesaw State Athletics has announced details for its upcoming spring football game April 19. The contest will begin at 7:00 p.m. inside Fifth Third Stadium. KSU is preparing for the move this fall into the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and Conference USA for the 2024 season.


Admission is free for the event and all seating will be under a first-come, first-serve basis on the west side of the stadium. Superior Plumbing Gate A on the southwest corner of the stadium is the only entrance for the event and opens at 5:30 p.m.


The 2024 Spring Game features a modified scoring system. For the offense, touchdowns award five points and field goals earn three points while extra points, explosive plays (12+ yard run or 16+ yard pass), third down conversions and fourth down conversions are worth one point each.

KSU Baseball Drops Road Midweek at GSU - Hosts Georgia Southern Tonight 

Owl baseball returns to the diamond Wednesday, April 17 for a 6:00 p.m. first pitch inside Stillwell Stadium against in-state rival Georgia Southern.


Last night, Kennesaw State (20-15, 10-5 Atlantic Sun Conference) rallied in the top of the ninth but came up just short against Georgia State (19-17, 9-6 Sun Belt), 5-4, at the GSU Baseball Complex.


Leadoff hitter Brayden Eidson added three hits to his 2024 campaign with one run scored and one RBI.


Starter Halton Hardy pitched five innings allowing just three hits and zero earned runs. He threw less than 10 pitches in all but one of his five frames.


Freshman Cooper Williams made his second career start Tuesday and collected the first two hits of his KSU career, scoring two of the Owls' four runs.


Georgia Southern comes into Wednesday night's contest with a 19-17 record after recently dropping a conference series to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.

Raul Garcia Tabbed Men's Tennis Atlantic Sun Player of the Week

Kennesaw State's Raul Garcia and North Florida's Jonas Hartenstein earned the Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors, announced today..


  It was Garcia's fifth career Player of the Week award; 20th for Kennesaw State.


The senior from Bolivia went 4-0 in singles and doubles on Court 1 against Queens and EKU.


 Raul teamed with Harvey Conway to defeat the Royals' (6-2) and Colonels' (6-4) pairs.


The Eastern Kentucky win was the seventh straight victory for KSU.


The No. 75 Owls open ASUN Conference tournament play on Saturday, April 20 at 5 p.m. against the winner of Stetson and Eastern Kentucky. The tournament is being hosted by FGCU.

Kennesaw State Wins 2024 Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Golf Championship

The Kennesaw State Owls hoisted the Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Golf Championship trophy for the sixth time in program history, overcoming a five-shot deficit to start the final round.


The Owls have the second-most titles by a conference program after winning a sixth in their final ASUN Championship appearance. KSU finished even par with a 864 after the three-day event. Lipscomb finished in second place, two shots back at 2-over (866), while North Florida (875), Austin Peay (878) and Stetson (880) rounded out the top five squads in the final standings.


The win marks the first ASUN Championship claim in the Erin Thorne era and the first tournament or invitational win of the season for the Owls.


Bella Kil wrapped up another top-10 performance which moved her into a class of her own. Showcasing 15 top-10 finishes, Kil now is the all-time program leader, passing Ket Preamchuen (14).

Manufactured Runs Give Owls Softball Series

Sweep in Game Three -

Host Georgia State Tonight

Kennesaw State softball (13-29) brought out the brooms in game three versus Bellarmine (13-24) as they produced a 4-2 victory at Bailey Park Sunday afternoon.

 

The Black and Gold suffocated the Knights offense yet again, allowing just three runs over the series with two of those coming today. KSU also took the victory while just earning three hits, the only time that has occurred in the Tripp MacKay era.


Lindsey Kyte secured her first win of the season in her complete game performance.


T he Owls will rekindle the I-75 flame versus Georgia State at 6 p.m. Wednesday night in Atlanta.


Admission is free to all Kennesaw State softball home games in 2024.

Kennesaw State Claim Men's Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Accolades

Kennesaw State's Simon Seid (Field Performer) earned the Atlantic Sun Men's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly honors. It was the first career Field Performer of the Week honor for Seid; 39th honor for the Owls.


The sophomore from Gainesville, GA placed first overall in the Pole Vault at the Kennesaw State Invitational. 


 Seid cleared a mark of 5.03m to take home the gold medal in the event.


  Simon leads the conference and ranks 35th in the NCAA this season with his performance.


Seid will be in action with 19 other Owls at the Jim Green Invitational at Kentucky this weekend.
