Greetings!
The Super Bowl. For collectors, it's really a non-starter. I suppose you could collect Aaron Rodgers cards. Rodgers completed 24 of 39 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. But here is the thing, a 111 million viewers watched Super Bowl XLV and virtually no one is actually watching the game. It's a three ring circus. Pre-Game, Half-Time, all those commercials. By the time next year rolls around, we'll all be wondering who played in 2011. Of course, we'll all remember Christina Aguilera messing up the Star Spangled Banner. Wait a minute, does she have any rookie cards?
Ben Henry of the Baseball Card Blog suggested I offer up a set of Red Sox Rookies from different decades, either a complete list or an abbreviated one. What do you think? Does owning a set of 1970's Red Sox Rookies sound intriguing - Lynn, Rice, Evans, Stanley...Let me know what you think. It could be fun.

|  When the Boston Red Sox won the World Series back in 2004, I knew Steiner and Tristar were going to charge a lot for team signed items but I had no idea. You see, back in 2000, the retail price for a New York Yankees signed baseball was $1000.00. By 2004, a Red Sox Team Signed baseball was $2500.00. That's about $100.00 a signature. For some of the players, it seemed a little high. Curtis Leskanic, Pokey Reese, seriously? Honestly, I thought the price was way too high. Still, fans bought them up. Fast forward to 2011 and that same ball goes for $600.00 on eBay. We get phone calls several times a month from avid fans wanting to sell their 2004 and 2007 World Series Team Signed items. Some understand the reality of the economy. Others believe their keepsakes must have doubled or tripled in price. If you are interested in a 2004 or 2007 Signed bat, picture or ball, let us know.
