Keep Your Annuals Looking Great!

Remember these three tips to keep your annuals blooming and growing all summer long.

Water Them

Established annuals have healthy root systems that require more water. Be sure to check daily for moisture.

If you are going away and unable to water daily, enlist the help of a neighbour or try these tips.

Feed Them

To keep blooms continuous, annual pots should be fertilized weekly.

Water soluble fertilizers such as C.I.L. 15-30-15 or Liquid Kelp are an easy way to ensure consistent nutrients. Be sure to feed plants when soil is moist.

Don't forget to feed those 'hungry' vegetable plants like tomatoes and peppers. These will benefit greatly from a weekly application of 15-30-15.



Pinch Them

Removing old flower blossoms is an integral part of keeping annuals looking good.

By 'dead heading' you are encouraging new buds and blooms to form.
