Keep Your Pets Safe and Celebrate a Happy 4th of July!
The 4th of July is coming up fast! Here are some key tips to keep your furry friends safe and stress-free during the celebrations.
Be Prepared:

ID your pet:Ensure your pet has a collar with up-to-date ID tags and microchip information! Get your pet microchipped for just $25 every Wednesday at 9 a.m. and Saturday at 7 a.m. during HSSA'slow-cost vaccine clinics held at our 635 West Roger Road campus.
Secure your home: Make sure your yard is fenced and escape-proof to prevent your pets from getting out.
Celebrate Smart:
Keep pets indoors: If you're not home, leave your pets inside in a quiet, familiar space.
Mind the noise: For fireworks displays, keep pets indoors with distractions like music or TV.
Host with care: Let guests know to keep gates and doors closed to prevent escapes.
Lost pet plan: If you lose your pet or find a pet who seems lost, use Petco Love Lost to help them be reunited with their family!
Food and Fireworks:
Keep them out of reach: Store fireworks, lighter fluid, and grilling materials securely away from pets.
Grill safety: Keep pets away from hot grills and coals to avoid burns.
Skip the scraps: Avoid feeding pets human food or leftovers that can be unhealthy. Alcoholic drinks are also dangerous for pets, so keep them out of reach.
