Greetings From The Farm!
The end of the year is nigh! And for us, that means a moment to reflect on a great 2021, and some goal setting for an even more incredible 2022. And we've got lots of ways to help our team, both two-legged and four, make progress this winter. Read on to learn more!
What's Up
We had a grand time at the USDF Finals at the USEF Para-Dressage National Championships. In the Para divisions, Veronica Gogan piloted Amanda Jordan's inimitable Mason to take top honors in the Grade 2 Divisions. This was a HUGE step up for Veronica, and a huge learning curve for both of us. I'm so proud of how far we all came this year!

At the USDF Finals, Abe Pugh piloted Alice Drayer's Elfenperfekt to the Reserve Championship in the Open Grand Prix Final. That result has been a long time coming for this exceptional combination who has grown so much in our time together.

It's an honor to be a part of both of these riders' teams, and I'm eager to see what the future brings! In the spirit of "I'm either winning or learning," I learned a lot aboard The Elvis Syndicate's fantastic Guernsey Elvis, and I'm very eager to move up to Grand Prix and redeem myself for riding like a doofus!
What's New
We have a few new faces around the farm. We are very proud of our departing assistant trainer Karrigan Norris, who leaves us to start married life on the West Coast, as well as to departing working student extraordinaire Calah Puryear as she embarks on her college journey. We are joined by Sam Laurel, who comes bearing serious eventing credentials, as well as new working student Paige Seymour, who hails from the same exceptional training program in Georgia as current working student Skyeler. We're so excited to have them both on our team!

We're all heading to Florida soon for our winter of fun in the sun. If you've ever thought about a Wellington winter, we'd like to make it happen! We have limited space for short-term training stays, as well as for the traditional full-season haul. We could welcome you and your horse for as little as two weeks of training immersion at our exciting new facility, within hacking distance of the White Fences showgrounds, and with ample turnout and exceptional footing. We'd consider a special sales horse as well. Email me to learn more!

While we're in the sunny south, our Marshall, Virginia arena is available for rent! You can sign up at Strider and pay online so the whole experience is contact-free. Utilize our exceptional footing, and we even have jumps and other equipment available for your use! We're open 7 days a week, from morning until evening, and we'd consider stall rentals and opportunities for outside instructors as well. Check it out, and email me with any questions.

While our wildly-popular winter camps are full, until we head South, we are open for trailer-in folks, in the afternoons and evenings, and we have limited stall space for short-term or long-term training horses. I also offer virtual lessons worldwide; all you need is a solid internet connection, a cell phone, a camera holder and a pair of wireless headphones. No fancy Pixem or Pivo required! (Though I teach on them, too, of course.) I have virtual students across North America! Email me to learn more.

And you can expand your education for just pennies a month by joining the Sprieser Sporthorse Elite Club. The SSHEC is a members-only experience for dressage enthusiasts, offering an all-access pass to the development of horses from foal to FEI! Head over to Strider to join.

We are all confident that we can help you and your horses advance safely and responsibly, and look forward to seeing you!
