It has been a long time since I have written. I have been working hard to complete two projects. The first is done. After many years of painstaking effort, my film "Karmageddon" is finally ready for the world. I began this film in 2005, when spiritual teacher and chanter Bhagavan Das came to stay in my house when in Toronto for a teaching weekend. We made a spontaneous decision to shoot a documentary, somehow imagining that it would be done in a few years. But what did we know about film-making? Nothing. And so on and on it went, me and my best friend, Paul Hemrend, sitting at his little computer on Toronto island, sorting through 60 hours of footage, constructing our film-making vision one small step at a time. Our efforts culminated in the first showing at the Hoboken International Film Festival on Monday, June 4. Interestingly, the showing was exactly seven years from the day that we shot our first footage.  

Included in the film are some influential spiritual teachers and yogis, including Ram Dass, Seane Corn, Deva Premal and Miten, Wah!, David Life, Robert Gass and David Newman. A roster of brilliance! I have a feeling that this evocative, heartfelt and very raw film will go a long way in its efforts to support seekers who are stumbling on the path. It doesn't pull any punches. It doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. It covers a lot of ground, and invites inquiry and resolution on many levels. It is deeply human and true to path.
