PPI Intern Symposium is Aug. 4 – 5 in Wichita and Manhattan
The 2022 PPI Intern Symposiumis this Thursday and Friday in Wichita and Manhattan. Students will share their summer internship experiences and source reduction recommendations that will assist their host companies in conserving natural resources, reducing solid waste, and minimizing hazardous material use and waste. Both sessions will be available virtually via Zoom. Pre-registration is required.

The conference will feature updates on environmental issues, new technologies, regulatory information and pollution prevention activities.
Hazardous waste handlers are required to complete training annually, and new employees must be trained within six months of taking a position that requires they handle hazardous waste. This training needs to be documented and maintained for at least three years. PPI offers online training that includes a certificate of completion for $50 per user.
