Your KRVSA Leadership Team

December started off with the Russell Home Ride with Santa. With generous donations we received and the clubs donation we were able to bless them with $13,000!  We are honored to be able to help The Russell Home for Atypical Children each year.

The KRVSA Christmas party was a blast, with 65 plus members and friends in attendance. Thank you to those who brought in a gift for the Toys for Tots donation. If you were unable to attend, plan on next year. The date is December 7, 2024.

The formal donation of the life vests took place in Orlando this month. Thank you, Jerry Bridges and Brad Weihrauch, for representing the club and keeping our relationship strong with FWC. Thank you for those who took a few hours of there time to place the QR code sticker on each vest.

SwampStock 2023 was a blast, several members from our Leadership Team attended. This was a great event and the handover to KRVSA went well. Save the date for SwampStock 2024 – Oct 5, 2024 hosted for the first time by the KRVSA!

Other happenings in December:

Remember the Polk Forever referendum that was on the ballot in 2022? We worked hard to get this passed, it did and now we are able to see it in action. The 649 acre Friedlander Ranch, located on the Lake Wales Ridge, is now in conservation – this is awesome! Our voices were heard!

The floating island in C-37 , the canal that connects Lake Hatchineha to Lake Kissimmee, has been taken care of and there is now good passage on the canal.
