POWER OF THE PEN

Are you interested in writing stories and poems? Do you dream of being a published author? Do you have a competitive spirit? If so think about joining the Power of the Pen and the Middle School Creative Writing Club. This club meets on Thursdays in room 211 with Mrs. Perrine from 2:30-3:30 PM. This year sixth graders are welcome to come and learn creative writing techniques as they prepare to participate in the seventh and eighth grade competitive writing team, known as Power of the Pen.

See Mrs. Perrine in room 211 with any questions!

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE BAINBRIDGE LIBRARY

A message from the Bainbridge Branch, Geauga County Library:

  • A number of students are using the library's phones to arrange pick-ups with their families. The library's phones are to conduct library business; students coming to the library after school should prearrange pick-up details.
  • The library closes at 5 p.m. on Friday evenings. Library staff will attempt to contact the parents of any students remaining at the library at closing time. Library staff may reach out to the police to assume responsibility for unattended children after 5:15 p.m.
  • The library does not permit food to be delivered. Students may have some snacks in designated library areas, but food deliveries will be turned away.

JOIN KMS ART CLUB

Art Club will begin on October 4th and be held every Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 pm until Winter break. It will begin again in February and end the week before the art show is set up in April. Just wanted to get this info. out to everyone in case any parents ask. The link to the sign up form is attached. If someone could make sure to put it on the KMS website, 411, and/or weekly newsletter, it would be much appreciated. We will likely have kids sign up again 2nd semester because some kids drop out for track and new ones want to join.
