FINANCE FORUM

SUNDAY, MARCH 17

10:10 AM to 10:50 AM

Dear Members,

Following our annual meeting on February 4th, many of you expressed an interest in delving deeper into Kirkwood's financial landscape. In response to your inquiries, our Treasurer, Roger Schultz, will be hosting a finance forum.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 17th, as Roger will be stationed in the room adjacent to the video booth within the Sanctuary. During the interval between services, we invite you to seize the opportunity to gain insights into the intricacies of our church's finances.

All are welcome to attend.

For those attending The Well, we encourage you to linger and partake in a coffee as you join the forum. For attendees of the Traditional service, we extend an invitation to arrive a tad earlier, savor a cup of coffee, and engage in this enriching session.

This forum will offer a comprehensive overview encompassing our budget, income, and expense projections. It's an opportunity not to be missed as we collectively strive for transparency and understanding regarding Kirkwood's financial operations.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE FOR DARLENE JURS

The Celebration of Life for Darlene Jurs, the wife of Erv Jurs, will be held in the sanctuary on March 19th at 2 PM.

GIVING CHALLENGE 2024

Mark your calendars and pray about participating in the Giving Challenge, which will run from noon on April 9 until

noon on April 10. This event is a 24-hour virtual event. Kirkwood will participate under the Hope4Communities umbrella to raise funds to sponsor one hundred children from Sea Breeze Elementary School families in need for our 2024 Day4Hope back-to-school event.

Gifts up to $100 will be matched by The Patterson Foundation (PF). Hope4Communities will keep 50% of the matching funds, but we will get your initial donation plus the remaining 50% of the PF matching

dollars. This has been a great way for us to raise our sponsor dollars in the past. The sponsorship for each child costs us

$100. Our goal is set at $10,000.

SPECIAL LINK COMING SOON!

MEAL SPONSORS OR COOKS NEEDED

The Youth Group meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in Pfrangle Hall.

We need volunteers who would like to sponsor a meal either by cooking in the Pfrangle Kitchen or ordering in advance. For more information, contact Emily Johnson at 941-920-1298 or reach out to the office.

Sign up in the narthex for the next Community Garden workshop, which will be on Saturday, March 16th at 10 AM. This will be a workshop on hydroponics. One of our gardeners, Master Gardener Meg Stanton, will lead this workshop. All are welcome to attend.

MARCH MISSION CART

BETTER TOGETHER

Our March Mission Cart Collection focuses our prayers and gifts for Better Together. Their mission is to radically reduce and prevent the number of children entering the foster care system in Florida by walking alongside families who are isolated and in crisis to provide support and a non-threatening safety net for them as they maneuver their circumstances. They are dedicated to keeping families together – and children out of foster care. They empower families to connect with the local church and resources, community, find employment, and provide a loving, safe, and supportive foundation for their children.

Better Together requested these items from our mission collection: Diapers/Pull-ups/Underwear/Wipes (all sizes), Socks & Shoes (children/teen sizes), Soft Blankets, Children’s PJs, Teens Sweatpants/Leggings/T-shirts (men/women S-XXL), Sippy Cups/Bottles, Night Lights, Walmart/Publix Gift Cards.
