A note from our President...

Dear Kids in Distress Auxiliary Members,

Reflecting on the past year fills me with gratitude for your unwavering dedication to supporting the Kids in Distress Agency. Our recent end-of-year luncheon, themed "Synergy," was truly memorable. This theme perfectly describes the harmonious relationship between our auxiliary and the agency. The event was exceptional, thanks to the generosity of Roby from The Venue and Megan from Mike Sipes Entertainment. Special thanks to Ellen Arenberg for coordinating the luncheon and to Lissette Polanco Wolf for the beautiful decorations.

We gave our end of the year check to the agency, and I'm thrilled to share that our fundraising efforts have raised an impressive $72,265.00 for the year. The campus celebration that followed the luncheon was equally heartwarming, with children and adults enjoying themselves, dancing with flashy LED glasses and party supplies from KHK. Introducing next year's KHK board added to the excitement, setting the stage for another impactful year.

Looking ahead, our annual membership reopens on July 1st. Your continued support is crucial to our mission, so please renew your memberships at kidaux.org after this date. Also, save the date for our first general meeting on September 12th, where we'll host a Flower Bar Class at Field of Flowers. It promises to be a fun-filled event where you can unleash your creativity and learn the art of flower arrangement.

In closing, again, I want to convey my deepest gratitude for your commitment and hard work. I’m so proud to be part of this amazing group of women. Together, we've transformed challenges into opportunities, leaving a lasting impact on the lives we touch. Here's to another year of inspiration, teamwork, and making a difference. Together, we'll continue to build a legacy of hope and joy and make the impossible #KIDpossible.

End of Year Party KID Auxiliary Luncheon

Our luncheon, held at The Venue Ft Lauderdale, was a tremendous success! Sandi Hertzbach⁩ presented a beautiful slideshow about the 2023-2024 KID Aux and KHK Year in Review. A special thank you to Lisette Polanco-Wolf for the beautiful butterfly and flower ornaments as well as Ellen Arenberg for coordinating the event. A special thank you to Roby (The Venue) and Mike Sipe (DJ) for sponsoring this amazing event!

Pre-K Activities

Pre-K volunteer team surprised the KID teachers at the Wilton Manors campus with a Dunkin Donuts breakfast to celebrate teachers appreciation week. Thank you to all the KID Auxiliary women who made this event KIDPOSSIBLE!💗

TRIATHLON FOR KID

Congratulations to Gustavo Teixeira for your 3rd place win at the USA Triathlon Draft Legal National Championship in Omaha, Nebraska, and your

1st place win at the Montana State Championship.

Gus will also compete in the Australian World Cup next year defending the American National Team - TEAM USA.

KHK’s kindness continues to shine brightly as summer begins! Thank you to the venue and DJ Sipe for hosting a very special end-of-the-year party for the foster homes and club members. From the delicious food

to the special music and prizes, it was an incredible event. Even so,

don’t worry if you missed it— there are still many events to take part in!

The movie night, birthday buddies party, backpack drive, and other great opportunities to help out are coming up. Please join us especially on the 22nd at the southwest ranches campus as we say farewell to two of our beloved long time foster parents, Ms. Toy and Ms. Sara! It’s a special time to say thank you, play with the littles ones, and welcome the new foster parents. In other news, congratulations to all the new officers of KHK, and thank you to all the seniors! Good luck as you head off to college this fall!
