During KGOU's fall fund drive, we announced an upcoming livestream event featuring This American Life's Ira Glass and actor/podcaster Neil Patrick Harris on a date to be determined. That date is December 19 at 7:30 p.m. CT! Year-end fundraising campaign is underway

As KGOU has recently reported, Oklahoma ranks in the top six states for food insecurity. The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, a nonprofit that distributes food to those in need, is also seeing an increase in requests for help.

At year's end, KGOU is again partnering with residential builder Home Creations to provide funds for public radio, and to help address the need of those at risk of going hungry. From now through Dec. 31, Home Creations is again offering extra funds to KGOU and to the food bank for every donation in support of KGOU. This year, Mama Stamberg's relish shares the table with cranberry chutney

It's tradition: Every year, NPR's Susan Stamberg sneaks her mother-in-law's cranberry relish recipe onto the air. But now, after—as she puts it—104 Thanksgivings, she tells us it's not her favorite cranberry relish. That honor goes to actor and food writer Madhur Jaffrey's cranberry chutney. OU Theatre: The Nutcracker

Oklahoma Festival Ballet and children from the metro area perform The Nutcracker, the quintessential fairy tale ballet set to Tchaikovsky’s magical score, in the Elsie C. Brackett Theatre at the Rupel J. Jones Fine Arts Center in Norman. KGOU will give away a pair of tickets in a random drawing to the winner's choice of performance Dec. 1 - 10.
