Instatement of New Executive Director

& The Mission of the Kearney Enrichment Council

We are certainly thrilled to announce that the position of Executive Director here at the Kearney Enrichment Council has been filled by none other than Laurence Gration. Originally from Australia, Laurence has a very strong background working with non-profits and leading organizations through change to better their community involvement and impact. "He is an open minded and dedicated leader, adapting to all the challenges life brings with enthusiasm and passion. We have loved working with him this past month and look forward to all the great ideas he will continue to bring to Kearney!" Said KEC President Jason Hoyt.

Currently, our mission is to improve the quality of life in Kearney and Holt, through our different programs that serve the area. Our focus lies on the Senior Center, Youth Programming, the Firehouse Community Center, Kearney Family Foundation, and Shop With A Cop. Each of these many services aim to enrich the lives of people of all generations and all walks of life. The different programs available offer a wide variety of accommodation such as: after school STEAM program for kids aged 2-5 and 6-9, senior programming including help with technology; transportation assistance; meals; exercise classes; and so much more, as well as providing a proper Christmas shopping experience to underserved kids and fostering a positive relationship between the youth in the community and the Kearney Police Department through Shop With A Cop. This is only a small look into how we are working to better serve you and the people around us, and we could not be more excited to continue this work with Laurence Gration!

We appreciate all of the support Kearney has shown us through these changes and look forward to serving this wonderful community to the best of our ability!

About Kearney Enrichment Council: The Kearney Enrichment Council (KEC) is dedicated to fostering community engagement, cultural enrichment, and social development through diverse and impactful events and programs. Our mission is to create a vibrant, inclusive community where residents can thrive, connect, and experience meaningful growth. We are now seeking a dynamic, innovative, and experienced Events Manager to join our team and lead the charge in delivering exceptional events that align with our mission.

Position Overview: As the Events Manager, you will be at the heart of KEC's efforts to engage and inspire our community through well-planned, executed, and evaluated events. You will oversee all aspects of event management, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring each event reflects the values and goals of KEC. This role requires a creative thinker with a strategic mindset, strong organizational skills, and a passion for Kearney community enrichment.

Delivered between 10:45 to 11:45.

If so, check out our Kearney Meals on Wheels delivery. A friendly volunteer will deliver the meal to your home.
