Ale Asylum Pantheon Imperial Brown 
Today, April 16th at 1pm til empty

Limited Release #6
Pantheon Pantheon Imperial Brown: 8 .2% ABV

Imperial brown ale. An obscene amount of seven different types of malt give our imperial brown ale an earthy, caramel aroma and flavor with just a touch of sweetness and a medium-dry finish. The beer is big and bold, and not for the faint of heart!
 

This is the first and only barrel in Milwaukee, so be one of the first to try Ale Asylum's latest creation!
3 Sheeps Tap Takeover
Debut of New Growler Gallery Exclusive Beer
Wednesday, April 22nd 5pm-7pm
(Yes, we are open on Wednesday)

Since the Growler Gallery opened up less than a year ago (about time to start planning that anniversary party eh?), we've already had a ton of fun partnering and collaborating with Wisconsin's top craft breweries to create experimental, geeky, and delicious beers exclusive to the Gallery. Karben4, Central Waters, O'so, and Hinterland have all crafted unique creations for the Gallery and now it's 3 Sheeps Brewing's turn to show off their best work! Grant Pauly, brewmaster and one of the brains behind 3 Sheeps, created a nutty and decadent treat for the Growler Gallery.

"Ray's Paid Time Off" is a 10% ABV Imperial Black Wheat brewed with toasted coconut, cocoa nibs, and walnuts! This nutty beer will be making its debut in the Growler Gallery next Wednesday along with a killer tap list of other goofy concoctions! 

We can't wait for you all to enjoy the latest Growler Gallery house beer! Here's the lineup you can enjoy next Wednesday!

Ray's Paid Time Off:  10% ABV

Imperial black wheat with toasted coconut, cocoa nibs, and walnuts! Can't wait to try this treat! We can all try it for the first time next week!
 
Seven Legged Cartwheel: 7.3 % ABV and 60 IBU

"A 100% Brett fermented IPA! For this project, we chose to use Brettanomyces Bruxellensis Trois. This strain produces a slight tartness, along with delicate characteristics of mango and pineapple. To Complement these flavors, we chose to use Sorachi Ace and Amarillo hops. These hops bring their own bold, citrus character to the table, creating a unique IPA sure to please any hop head!"

NLNT Volume #5 Ghost Pepper IPA:  11.2% ABV

"Though we love our sessionable beers, we thought it was about time to push our brewhouse and see just how big of a beer we could produce. Volume 5 is the result. Making an 11.2% IPA results in a lot of flavor, and considering we always want balance in our beers, we needed something to combat the alcohol sweetness that results from such a big beer...enter ghost peppers! Used properly, ghost peppers create alluring, earthy notes that when blended with the spicy Chinook hops, produce a savory nose and flavor profile. On first sip, the heat of the ghost peppers is mild, but as you work your way through the beer it begins to emerge ever so slightly. This beer is IPA first and ghost pepper second. Combined, you're left with a hoppy, spicy, potent, and all around complex brew that gets better and better with each sip."
 
Roll Out the Barrel: 9.8% ABV and 50 IBU

Belgian Golden Strong aged in Chardonnay barrels. I haven't had a chance to try this one yet either, so let's all try it together at the Gala!

Founders Fantastical Festival Day of Funsies!
Saturday, April 18th
Doors Open: 8:00am
Raffle Starts: 8:15am 

 

This Saturday is going to be one of the most legendary beer days of 2015! Founders KBS will be getting released with all of the pomp and circumstance due this beast of a beer. Single bottles of Founders KBS will be released, but that's not all!

 

Founders will also be hosting a tap takeover event upstairs in the Growler Gallery featuring KBS on draft as well as a full lineup of Founders' best beers. The first 45 folks in line will have the option of going upstairs to the Growler Gallery to enjoy all of the festivities up there! Pints, flights, and 5oz tasters will be available to jumpstart your day (#breakfastbeers). We will also be releasing a bunch of beers from the cellar through a rare beer lottery raffle starting at 8:15 (read bellow for more details).

 

Please line up at the front door of Ray's Wine and Spirits (the entrance in the parking lot) even if you wish to hang out in the Growler Gallery. We will be forming one line and then splitting off from there.

 

Here's the nitty gritty:

-120 Bottles of KBS (first 120 people in line will be guaranteed a bottle)

-1/4 Barrel of KBS in the Growler Gallery (Pints, flights, and 5oz tasters only)

-Rare beer Raffle including cellared 4 packs of KBS (Read bellow for details)

 

Founders' Tap Lineup! 

 

All Day IPA:  4.7% ABV and 42 IBU
$2 Pint Special ALL DAY

"The beer you've been waiting for. Keeps your taste satisfied while keeping your senses sharp. An all-day IPA naturally brewed with a complex array of malts, grains and hops. Fantastical Founders Flights
 Gotta try them all! Flights of these six awesome Founders beers will be $18 and will include a 5oz pour of all six!

 

1. Red's Rye IPA: 6.6% ABV and 70 IBU

"Serious hop bitterness, along with an unyielding grapefruit bouquet from the Amarillo dry hop, balances the malty richness of four varieties of imported Belgian caramel malts. Pours a spectacular crimson with a creamy tan head. A generous addition of rye malt accentuates a spicy, crisp finish."

2. Imperial Stout:  10.5% ABV and 90 IBU

"Brewed with ten varieties of malted barley, this stout is smooth as silk, yet complex and rich in body. Serve this guy at cellar temperature. Put another log on the fire, sit back and enjoy the friendship of this ultimate winter warmer."

3. Cellared 2014 Old Curmudgeon: 9.8% ABV and 50 IBU

"Think classic seafaring ports, local pubs and weathered old fishermen. This old ale is brewed with molasses and an insane focus on the malt bill, then oak-aged. The result is a strong, rich, malty delight that's deceptively smooth and drinkable."

 

4. Big Lushious (Backstage Series): 7.8% ABV
No Growler Fills. Pints, flights, and 5oz pours only.
 "This deep, rich stout is packed with flavor: roasted malts, all-natural dark chocolate, a subtle suggestion of burnt coffee grounds and a kiss of tart raspberries. It's big but balanced. At 7.8% ABV, Big Lushious is a sumptuous, extravagant dessert beer fit for enjoying with friends and family around the holidays or to celebrate a special occasion. But really, this beer can make any occasion special. Don't worry; we won't call you a lush."
 
5. Blushing Monk (Backstage Series):  9.2% ABV

"We last released Blushing Monk in July of 2011; before that, we hadn't put it out in four years. This is the first Backstage Series beer that we've brought back.

Blushing Monk is brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberries and with a Belgian yeast strain that keeps our head cellar operator from sleeping for a week. It pours a stunning deep berry red and, at 9.2% ABV, has a surprising kick. The perfect dessert beer, it can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fresh cheeses, fruit, cakes and more."
 

6. 2015 KBS: 11.2% ABV and 70 IBU
No Growler Fills. Pints, flights, and 5oz pours only. 

"What we've got here is an imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish. Makes your taste buds squeal with delight."

Rare Beer Lottery Raffle Details

In addition to releasing Founders KBS bottles downstairs and hosting the Founders tap takeover upstairs, we will also be having one of our rare beer lottery raffles with a bunch of cellared, rare, and elusive gems. Everybody who is present (upstairs, downstairs, or in line) before the drawing starts at 8:15 will be given one raffle ticket. Right at 8:15 we will start drawing tickets and when your ticket is drawn, it will give you the ability to purchase one of the rare gems on the list (depending on what is left at that time). We will keep drawing until all of the items are gone and in past years some lucky folks have gotten to pick a couple treats from the cellar!
