INTRODUCING THE NEW PARTNERSHIP
RAB TOTAL ACCESS COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
RAB LEADERSHIP MASTERCLASS
Empowering, equipping and inspiring the managers of sales teams is vital to the growth and success of an entire organization. The RAB Leadership MasterClass (LMC) is designed for that purpose. It combines the highly-acclaimed Certified Radio Sales Manager course along with monthly group coaching to address the on-going challenges our sales leadership face. With limited class size and limited number of sessions each year, this is an exclusive opportunity where managers and soon-to-be leaders build community through a support network of other managers. Completing the program is a distinction that sets them apart; they will belong to an elite group of leaders in media management.

Participants will work through CRSM certification program with live sessions hosted by Jeff Schmidt, SVP of Professional Development, RAB. These half-day sessions each week, for six consecutive weeks, minimizes time away from their team. This schedule also allows class members to put new tools into action immediately after learning, providing opportunity to share success and ask questions during weekly meetings. At the conclusion of the six-week course work, members will attend monthly one-hour group coaching sessions for eight consecutive months to review materials learned or address specific needs and challenges in their local markets.

JEFF SCHMIDT'S SALES TIP OF THE WEEK
HOW FAR CAN YOU GO?
Today, you are learning about a partnership between the Radio Advertising Bureau and the Kentucky Broadcasters Association. This partnership was created as a response to the massive change our industry is facing. The goal of the partnership is to provide you with the tools and resources necessary for you to adapt, learn new skills, and go farther than you’ve ever thought possible. You’ll find the details elsewhere in this newsletter, so the purpose of this tip is not to provide you with the what, but the why. Why should you care? Why does this matter to you, and why should you want to take advantage of it?

The Pandemic. Just saying the word can conjure up fear, uncertainty and pain of loss. Alternatively, it can bring forward positives like growth, new opportunity and finding new paths.  The lessons from the pandemic are plentiful. Legendary sales and motivational speaker Zig Ziglar identified the three C’s of life:

  1. Choices
  2. Chances
  3. Changes

Ziglar says: You must make the choice, to take a chance, if you want anything to change.

Two years ago, video calls were a novelty, now we have “fatigue” from them. Two years ago, working from home was for a select few who could tolerate and manage the separation of family, pets, children and other attention-grabbers in the home. Now, working from home is common and many reports are that we’ve never been more productive.

One thing has become clear: New knowledge, new information and new learning is no longer just an option for those looking to get ahead faster, it’s now a requirement for everyone to adapt to the changes. While it may sound harsh; your continued employment in this great industry depends on it.

The question for you to ask today is not: “Should I?” It should be, “How far can I go?” With the proper tools and resources there is nothing stopping you from having your best year ever.

We are honored to partner with the KBA to help you become even more successful. We look forward to engaging with you and cheering you on as you reach levels of success you never thought possible.

How far will you go?
