Getting to Know You Days

Making connections with others is powerful. Beginning the online journey face to face, during Getting To Know You Days ensured a successful start to a new school year.

Families were able to meet the teacher, learn about the platform, and take home materials needed to make this a successful year!

Creating Connections Online

Zooms

Monthly zoom calendars keep our class connected in so many fun ways. Students have the option to participate in as little or as many as they feel comfortable with. During zooms this month, we played games, enjoyed a Popcorn Party, celebrated Hornet Way Day, and more!

One of our favorite zooms is Morning Meeting on Mondays. We greet one another, have time to share, and participate in a virtual activity together. Beginning each week together sets a positive tone.

Learning Coaches

Partnering with our Learning Coaches, the caregiver(s) supporting students at home, is necessary. We are on this journey together to ensure that the kids have everything they need in order to be successful. We are really excited this year, to offer Learning Coach Zooms. There has been time allocated for Learning Coaches who need additional support in logging in, uploading assignments, setting expectations, and learning new ways to make this an enriching experience. We are in this together!
