Putin's War: A Presentation

Putin’s War: His Motives, Claims and Lies -- covering Ukraine, Russia, Putin’s war, and more, specifically, Putin’s propaganda.

Summary of presentation: 

Dmitri Yakovlev, a Muscovite who wholeheartedly supports Ukraine in her fight for freedom, argues that:

-         If we don’t support Ukraine, the conflict soon may become the whole world’s problem

-         Putin does not want this war to end

-         Should the world have negotiated with Hitler - Chamberlain did and what came of it?

You will hear the story of Putin’s rise to power, learn interesting facts about Russian propaganda and politics, and will be invited to raise your questions.

About the presenter:

Dmitri is COO and co-founder of local high-tech company and works with a web development team in Ukraine.

Theorem Painting Class

June 12 @ 5:30 - 7:30 pm


Linda Sheldon returns with a spring/summer-themed theorem painting class. Learn about painting with stencils to create lovely designs in the style of early American decorative art. 

Limit 15 adult participants. Registration required. Residents of Tyngsborough will receive first spots; residents of other towns may register and will be on a waitlist. On May 27th, if there is still room in the class, people will be admitted to the class depending on the number of available spaces. 

All supplies provided; pick your own primary color.

An Evening with Mercury Stardust (Virtual)

Join us virtually on June 20th at 7:00 PM as we welcome famous trans handywoman, Mercury Stardust for an author talk & moderated Q&A with Mercury herself! This program is presented virtually in conjunction with the Rowley Public Library and 50+ other libraries state-wide. From TikTok stardom to full-blown author, Mercury is the acclaimed author of “Safe and Sound: A Renter Friendly Guide to Home Repair” and has also dedicated her time to helping people on TikTok reclaim their independence through home improvement. As an out and proud non-binary trans feminine person, Mercury has also used her platform to help raise over $2 million for trans healthcare. This program is intended for people ages 13+.

Felted Turtle Craft

Rachel Benson (https://www.thefiberweb.com/) returns for a fun felted turtle class! Learn how to make your own freshwater turtle like Tab the Tyngsborough Public Library turtle. 

All materials provided. Limit 15 people.

Registration opens May 29th at 10:30 am. Registrations will be limited to Tyngsborough residents for two weeks, until June 12th. Residents of other towns may register before June 12th and will be on a waitlist. If there is still space on June 12th, people on the waitlist will be admitted in registration order. 

This class is great for adults and anyone 8+ who is attending with a parent/guardian who is also registered and participating in the class. Please reach out to us with any questions!
