A Day of Words, Wit & Wisdom

Last week, we held our 18th Annual A Day of Words, Wit, and Wisdom (“W3”). It was a day filled with inspiration, hope, and joy. We were delighted to have the incredible Hank Phillippi Ryan as our W3 emcee, as well as our fabulous featured authors, Jean Kwok, Andre Dubus III, and Nina Simon, who captivated us with their storytelling.

The WE CAN Voices, women who have participated in our programs and share about their experiences, resonated profoundly as they shared their journeys of navigating adversity and discovering inner resilience.

Lastly, we celebrated Kathrine Switzer, WE CAN's 2024 Woman of the Year, for breaking through barriers and inspiring generations with her determination and courage. Switzer's legacy extends beyond her athletic feats; her advocacy for gender equality in sports continues to empower women worldwide.

Please enjoy some of the photos from W3 below. We are grateful to Joe Navas from Organic Photography for capturing moments from the day! Click here to view more.
