Denver PrideFest

The 2024 Denver PrideFest, celebrates its 50th anniversary across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region! The two-day festival is produced by The Center on Colfax, an organization working to ensure that every member of the LGBTQ+ community has access to the programs and resources they need to live happy, healthy, and productive lives.

Impacts: Expect large crowds around the festival site and along the parade and 5K routes. Please plan for delays and heavy traffic and plan accordingly. The streets listed below will be closed from Friday, June 21, starting at the specified times, and will reopen on Monday, June 24, at 6 am.
- Bannock St: from Colfax to 13th Ave, starting at 7 am
- 14th Ave: from Cherokee St to Broadway, starting at 7 am
- Colfax Ave, Eastbound: from Cherokee St to Lincoln St, starting at 6 pm
- Colfax Ave, Westbound: from Lincoln St to Cherokee St, starting at 6 pm
- Broadway: from 16th Street Mall to 13th Ave, starting at 7 pm

Denver Chalk Art Festival
Saturday, June 1st & Sunday, June 2nd

Get ready for the Denver Chalk Art Festival on Saturday, June 1st, and Sunday, June 2nd from 10 am to 8 pm. The festival takes place two blocks south of Civic Center Park (12th Avenue & Bannock Street), nestled in the lively Golden Triangle Arts District, surrounded by several art and cultural museums.
The festival will feature live music, food trucks, and a Kid's Corner for aspiring young artists to create their own chalk art masterpieces. The event will take place rain or shine!
Impacts: Please note that the streets listed below will be closed from Friday, May 31 at 6 am to Monday, June 3 at 6 am.
- BANNOCK ST: 11th Ave to 13th Ave
- 12TH Ave: Cherokee St to Acoma St
- ACOMA ST: 11th Ave to 12th Ave

Juneteenth Music Festival
Saturday June 15th & Sunday June 16th

The Juneteenth Music Festival is a fantastic two-day celebration taking place in the historic Five Points neighborhood on Saturday, June 15th, and Sunday, June 16th from noon to 8 pm. Get ready for a weekend filled with excitement, starting with a lively 14-block parade and over 100 exhibitors along Welton Street while you groove to live music. Event entrances will be located at the corners of 24th and Welton, 25th and Welton, E. 26th and Clarkston, and 28th and Welton.
Impacts: Please note that several streets will be closed and meter parking unavailable from Friday, June 14 at 4 pm until Monday, June 17 at 5:30 am. These include Welton Street between 24th and 30th, 24th to 29th Streets between Welton and California, 24th to 27th Streets between Glenarm Place and Welton, Washington Street between 25th Ave. and Welton, 28th Street between 26th Ave. and Welton, and 29th Street between Glenarm Place and Welton.

Cherry Blossom Festival at Sakura Square

Don't miss the Cherry Blossom Festival at Sakura Square, a cultural extravaganza happening at Sakura Square taking place on on Saturday, June 22nd from 11 am to 6 pm, and Sunday, June 23rd from 11 am to 4 pm. Enjoy traditional Japanese performances on the outdoor stage, explore a Japanese-themed marketplace along Larimer Street, and savor delicious Japanese cuisine.
Impacts: Lawrence St between 19th St and 20th St will be closed and meter parking unavailable from Friday, June 21 at 5pm through Sunday, June 23 at 9pm. All meters on Lawrence St between 19th St and 20th St will be unavailable in that time frame as well.

Stop by the City and County of Denver's annual Summer Bike to Work Day station on Bannock Street, right next to Civic Center from 6 am to 9:30 am. Swing by and take a test-ride on a Lime or Lyft e-scooter or e-bike, and who knows, you might even snag a cool prize from this year's sponsor.
Impacts: Parking restrictions on 14th Avenue and on Colfax Ave.
