Pride is liberating and empowering; it is a movement and a celebration. For many LGBTQ asylum seekers, attending Pride is a dream come true.

This year, the LGBT Asylum Task Force will bring many LGBTQ asylum seekers to their first-ever Pride celebration. This moment marks a significant milestone in their journey towards freedom, acceptance, and belonging. Pride offers a space for them to embrace their identities, find community, and experience the joy and solidarity of being part of a larger LGBTQ chosen family.

Let us celebrate and honor their courage, resilience, and determination to live authentically. March with us!

We will attend the Springfield (June 1) and Boston (June 8) Pride celebrations. Consider marching with us and offering rides from Worcester, MA so all asylum seekers can attend. Email us at info@lgbtasylum.org if you can drive folks.

GALA 2024! 🪩

This year, we are marking 16 years of supporting the new beginnings of LGBTQ asylum seekers. More than 400 folks from 30+ countries have been directly housed and fed and thousands more connected to resources during this time. All are united in their quest for the freedom to exist. Join us on September 28 for Gala 2024: One Dream, Many Paths.

Over 500 guests will gather at the Worcester DCU Center to support our largest annual fundraiser. There will be a thrilling live auction, impactful stories, great food, and a dance party to close the night.

CURED DOCUMENTARY SCREENING 📽️

For far too long, a diagnosis of homosexuality was considered by the mental health community to be a mental illness. CURED covers the struggle towards its removal from the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

Join us at Hadwen Park Church (6 Clover Street, Worcester, MA) on Friday, June 28 at 7 pm for a screening of CURED and a discussion with the documentary's producer and director Bennett Singer.

GENDER ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION 🫂

At Hadwen Park Church on June 17 at 6:30 pm, we will continue the monthly conversation and exploration of gender dynamics and issues. This is an opportunity to come together in a safe space to talk about gender journeys and thoughts about gender. It's also a place to get support around being allies to our trans and non-binary loved ones.

This Roundtable is for cisgender folx (aka people whose sense of gender fits the sex of the body they were born into) AND trans, non-binary, gender curious, and all other folx.

There will be pizza! We hope you join us.
