Say the letters “PGA,” and you’re talking about one of the best-known brands in America. Focus on the
Philadelphia Section of the PGA of America, and now you’ve honed in on one of the most historic
regions in the nation for the sport of golf.
The PGA’s REACH Foundation, which positively impacts the lives of youth, military and diverse populations by enabling access to PGA of America golf professionals, is headed by our Edible Arrangements Customer of the Month, Courtney Curcio.
Courtney, a native of Vineland, New Jersey (now a resident of Conshohocken, PA), graduated Buena Regional High School (Atlantic County), where she competed in soccer, before moving on to Neumann
University (Aston, PA), as a Division III player. Club golf rounded out her athletic experience at Neumann.
Academically, Courtney earned a B.A. in Sports Management with a minor in Sports Marketing. What a terrific background for her current roles at the PGA Philadelphia Section and the PGA REACH Foundation
in Lower Gwynedd.
The HOPE Program (‘Helping Our Patriots Everywhere’) within the REACH Foundation is just one inspiring focus of Courtney’s work. “We’ve reached over 1,000 veterans with our five-week golf program. You know, golf can positively impact people’s lives. As one HOPE participant told me, ‘who would think that focusing on a little ball could have such a big impact on one’s life?’ ” Learn more about PGA REACH’s efforts at this link: https://pgareachphiladelphia.com/.
Looking forward, operationally, Courtney and her team are excited about the all-hands-on-deck opportunity when the PGA Championship comes to Aronimink Golf Club (Newtown Square) in 2026.
They’ll interface with local golf fans and volunteers.
When it comes to leadership of her team, Courtney reflects that it’s neither gurus or nor YouTube videos that are her top inspiration. ‘My own executive director, Geoffrey Surrette, has been the most
influential for me. From Geoff I’ve learned that all will be well when a leader combines an open door policy, solid communication, and the development of confidence among team members.’
What makes Edible Arrangements – Willow Grove appealing to Courtney Curcio and PGA Philadelphia Section / PGA REACH? ‘Keith Cotton does a fantastic job, and his overall operation is great,’ says Courtney.
Thank you, Courtney Curcio, for being Edible Arrangements – Willow Grove Customer of the Month!
