June is already here and we are gearing up for the summer activities.


We are proud to share that our own member - Yumei Wang, PE, FASCE. She was interviewed for the Sunday June 16th Tsunami episode.

CNN's VIOLENT EARTH series CNN Explores “Violent Earth” in New Original Series began airing Sunday, June 2nd @ 9p ET/PT.

2024 LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

Governor signed the following bills that PEO Supported in the 2024 Short Session. Thank you to the members and committee for acting.

HB 4015 Use Energy Facility Siting Council (EFSC) for the siting of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

HB 4080 States a state policy on offshore wind energy.

SB 1567 Directs the Water Resources Department to take certain actions related to the Walla Walla Water 2050 Strategic Plan

SB 1575 Provides that a public body may not include certain provisions relating to payment of defense costs in a contract with a person or entity providing engineering or other related professional services.
