Meet ARC WA!

Washington PTAC is pleased to announce a new partnership that enhances the success of innovative firms in Washington State.

In October 2022 Washington State was awarded a Small Business Administration (SBA) Federal and State Technology (FAST) Partnership Grant. This funding allows Washington to create a program dedicated to increasing Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) funding in the state.

Accelerating Research Commercialization in Washington (ARC WA) is a partnership between Life Science Washington Institute and Washington State PTAC/APEX program.

The program will build the SBIR/STTR ecosystem by offering outreach and education to both innovators as well as resource providers.

Learn more about the program as well as upcoming presentations and trainings here.

  • Updating your business in the Dynamic Small Business Search: When was the last time you checked your DSBS profile to make sure it included an up-to-date capabilities statement, keywords, and references? DSBS is a powerful tool for small businesses seeking federal contracts and subcontracts. You can now update your existing profile through SBA Connect rather than going through SAM.gov. View this youtube video with detailed instructions.

  • Washington State is preparing to bid out a statewide contract for Communications and Marketing Services. View and respond to the Request for Information here.

  • $11 million SAM Mistake: SAM must be active consistently from time of bidding through award. See 2-minute legal brief here that describes how a company lost a $11 million contract because their SAM lapsed briefly during the evaluation period.
