Help Stop Factory Farming in Michigan
Please join us on Monday, June 10, at 6pm for Michiganders for a Just Farming System’s monthly virtual meeting. Our special guest will be Tyler Lobdell who is a Staff Attorney at Food & Water Watch (F&WW). Tyler will present “The Big Oil and Big Ag Ponzi Scheme: Factory Farm Gas,” a report that was recently published by F&WW. This report is especially timely here in Michigan. The Michigan Senate is currently contemplating a bill that will establish lucrative financial incentives for the commercialization of factory farm gas (SB 275). We will learn how “biogas” greenwashes dirty factory farms and their fossil fuel partners and the steps we can take to prevent these industries from expanding here in Michigan. We will also give an update regarding our lobbying day in Lansing and other activities. Register for Zoom Meeting Here
