2024 Summer Camp Starts In 8 Days!

It should be no surprise that Lake Beauty Bible Camp (LBBC) has a mission statement. You will find ours at the end of this essay. If you attend LBBC staff meetings, you will hear the staff reciting this mission statement right after the opening prayer and before they begin any planning or programming. The LBBC Board reaffirms the mission statement every time we meet. For me, the mission statement is a way for LBBC to stay mission-focused. The summer season has officially kicked off with our Memorial Day Family Camp! I tell many that my favorite view at camp is from the back porch looking over the water, but I realized this past weekend that a close second is walking toward the campground areas filled with different-sized campers and trailers. I love walking throughout the campgrounds and chatting with old and new families. We’re part of a family that has this large reunion once a year!...

It is such a blessing for me to be able to welcome you to my thirteenth update (one full year!) as the Program Director at Lake Beauty Bible Camp! Since starting May 1st 2023, and it has been a whirlwind year full of changes, both personally and professionally. I have seen God challenge my preconceptions of what camp is, He has prompted me to grow in leadership and delegation, but most of all, He has continually provided me with big and small moments of confirmation that this is where I belong in this season....

Lake Beauty Bible camp is pleased to announce our participation in the Power of Camp Study, in summer 2024. We are part of a group of camps across the country who are part of this project. This ground-breaking study will reveal the strengths and growing areas of Lake Beauty. The Power of Camp Study is based on the methodology of the Effective Camp Project developed by Dr. Jacob Sorenson of Sacred Playgrounds.
