National Day of the Cowboy
Annually on the fourth Saturday in July Dodge City and other communities celebrate National Day of the Cowboy.
National Day of the Cowboy (NDOC) is a way to preserve and celebrate the culture and history of the American Cowboy.
The Dodge City Visitor Information Center will be decorated with NDOC flags, handing out cards with the cowboy/cowgirl code of conduct, and more fun activities.

Dodge City's award-winning annual PRCA rodeo draws nearly 800 of the best contestants in rodeo. Things kick off with a night of Xtreme Bulls, on Tuesday, Aug. 8. Outstanding Frontline Service Employee Awards
During the 2022 National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW) the Dodge City Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) hosted the Outstanding Frontline Service Employee Awards.
More than 70 entries were received from more than 14 locations throughout Dodge City. Ultimately two winners were named. Ally Smith from Bella Italia Ristorante and Gloria Lee from Dodge City Brewing. Congratulations to both winners.
The CVB plans to make this award part of the annual NTTW celebration.
