After 30 years of Netball in the USA Netball America is the one to make history by having the 1st ever all American Netball team of 12 Americans represent the USA this July at the FISU 2016 World University Netball Championship. A big thank you to
FISU who have made this possible. By following Olympic rules, thus requiring US citizens to represent the USA, is the only way to get the game embraced by Americans.
This certainly is not an easy task, however with the efforts put in by our members across 35 US states, and the out of the box thinking and teamwork the Board of Directors and management team has displayed, we are on our way to make the USA one of the elite netball nations in the world. We still have many years of hard work ahead of us, so I encourage you all to continue with your efforts and support.
The USA University Team is making a lot of personal sacrifices to help raise the profile of American Netball. They are teaching kids netball in return for a free training venue, they are out on the streets of New York handing out flyers, and you will see below that this Saturday they are giving up more of their training time to give back to the community by partnering with NYC Parks and Recs to conduct a fundraiser and teach the local community kids Netball. Please continue to show your support for this USA netball team by sharing and supporting through their
GoFundMe page. CBS news came out to one of their practices where they were playing against an ex-pat club.

It's been outstanding the global support received for the FISU World University Netball Championship. Over 80 volunteers from across the globe, 9 international umpires, 16 bench officials and of course athletes from 8 nations: Australia, South Africa, Uganda, Jamaica, Namibia, England, Trinidad & Tobago, and of course
the USA!
Watch the welcome message from the USA.
The opening ceremonies on Tuesday July 12th will see world class entertainment, and we are wanting to make this a great experience for attendees who are able to participate in clinics on the new rules of netball as well as coaching sessions for players and coaches with netball legend Vicki Wilson. Read below for more information.
This event is just a stepping stone for other global events being held here in the USA: the annual U.S. Open Netball Championships will be this November in Los Angeles; the Disney International Youth Tournament in Orlando in November and join us and 17,000 athletes for the World Out Games next May/June in Miami!
Thanks again for all you do in helping us grow the sport globally.
Kind regards
Sonya Ottaway
