When you give to the Food is the Foundation campaign, you’ll help us TRIPLE the number of scratch-made meals we make each year, serving more people who need our medically tailored meals. Make a gift of $1,000 or more, and as a thank you, you’ll receive a personalized commemorative tile, which will be included in our colorful donor acknowledgement wall in the lobby of our new building. All gifts made to the Food is the Foundation campaign between now and November will be matched up to $100,000 by an anonymous foundation. Meatless meals typically contain less saturated fat and more fiber than meat-based meals, making them beneficial for your overall health. Not only that - but eating meatless meals benefits the Earth. Raising animals for food uses massive quantities of water, energy, and land, placing a large burden on the environment. For example, if the entire U.S. did not eat meat or cheese for just one day each week, it would be the equivalent of taking 7.6 million cars off the road . Going meatless - even just one or two days a week - can be beneficial to your health and the environment! As we enter the prime time of the growing season, it's easier than ever to incorporate more meatless meals into your diet.
