NEW Scholarship Fund Honors Eric Gabriel

Introducing the Eric J. Gabriel Memorial Scholarship Fund, honoring the life and legacy of Eric Gabriel. The scholarship contributes to the educational expenses of graduating seniors from Genoa-Kingston, Somonauk, and Sycamore High School who have been involved with FFA.

2024 Give DeKalb County Sets New Records

In its 11th year, Give DeKalb County donors set a new record by contributing over $2 million in support of nonprofit organizations. Give DeKalb County reached new all-time highs with a record number of participating nonprofits, Bonus Pool total, and grand total.

Grants Boost Music Education

Twenty six nonprofit and public sector organizations in DeKalb County and greater Chicagoland received $116,100 in Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation Fund Grants to support music education.

Spring Community Needs Grants Awarded

From public safety and education to arts and community development, local projects addressing community needs received $159,799 in grant support. Twenty five local nonprofit and public sector organizations benefited from a Community Needs Grant.

High School Students Gain Employability Edge

Through a collaboration between the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce, the Community Foundation, and DeKalb High School, over 45 students earned their Essential Skills Certificate of Employability. Congratulations to all!
