Leadership Council Highlights
Laura Hamby, Moderator

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; ... it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone... for the common good.
1 Corinthians 12:4-7 selected (NRSV)

Task Teams! I believe this scripture speaks to the work of NACCC Ministry Council Task Teams ~ For the Common Good! Our articles and bylaws state: "Ministry Councils may appoint task teams to assist with their areas of responsibility... "Task teams have become so effective that, in practice, the Leadership Council and Boards also appoint Task Teams.

Task Teams are, in many ways, the heartbeat of the NACCC. Although ultimate responsibility rests with elected leadership, it is the both the short and long-term work of Task Teams that allow us to maintain the ongoing ministries and services of the councils and boards. Likewise, it is often Task Teams who explore and set direction for new programs. I invite you to consider sharing your gifts for the common good by serving on a Task Team. Board of Directors Highlights
Jim Waechter, Vice Moderator

We have a variety of workshops at our Annual Meeting & Conference at Piedmont College, June 24-27, 2017. One workshop is aimed at opening up the lines of communication between the NACCC and our member churches. The Rev. Dr. Michael Chittum, Executive Director of the NACCC, will discuss plans for recruiting and training volunteer "Ambassadors." Ambassadors will visit  their neighboring member churches and bring greetings and assistance from the NACCC. The goal is to recruit 70 ambassadors who will each serve a number of churches. Through this program, we hope to contact and visit our 340+ member churches. Please join us for this important workshop.

Board of Governors Highlights
Varn Philbrook, President, Board of Governors

Your Board of Governors - often wonder who we are and what we do. Quite frankly we are you!   Our composition draws from laity and clergy from across the NACCC. We are selected by the Board with the goal of attracting persons of known capability who willingly give their time, talent and financial resources to support the Foundation and the greater NACCC. Our purpose is to increase the financial stability of the NACCC. We do this through solicitations of gifts, by managing the fund drawdown rate which provides yearly income in support of the Shared Ministries Fund. We also ensure that funds spent are properly used in accordance with either donor wishes or the purpose of that particular fund.

We continually seek hard working individuals that have a proven record of serving the NACCC and who are capable of meeting the board obligations.
