N2N Community Garden Party
NeighborWorks Week is a nationally recognized week of service and celebration to show how we can strengthen communities by working together. This year, N2N participated by inviting our residents to an outdoor Community Garden Party, where they joined volunteers and staff to socialize, create art, and learn new ways to reap the benefit of nature's bounty from the garden.

Residents enjoyed snacking from fresh fruit and sandwich trays while mingling with neighbors and learning from volunteers about the surrounding natural area and N2N gardening program. After creating and sharing art, guests took part in a free raffle with gift cards and gardening supply prizes. The party ended with a literal bang as the last prize was awarded just before a storm hit.
Special Thanks To:
  • NeighborWorks America, whose funding provided food and raffle prizes.
  • CSU Medical Program interns, Jacob and Harry, for helping orchestrate the event.
  • The Growing Project volunteers for leading the event's educational discussion.
  • City of Fort Collins Natural Areas for supplying educational materials and activities.

Windermere Real Estate Volunteers Dedicate Day to N2N Clean Up
With ongoing construction and property improvements this past year, it was neither safe nor realistic to maintain some inaccessible outdoor areas at N2N's Coachlight Plaza Apartment Community. With major renovations nearing completion, the time had come to tackle those landscaping projects - and that's when thirty Windermere Colorado Real Estate volunteers swooped in to save the day.

In recognition of NeighborWorks Week, Windermere employees dedicated their Community Service Day to tackle lawn care projects and help beautify the outdoor spaces for N2N residents. This tireless team mowed and trimmed the entire property, cut and cleaned up the overgrown juniper bushes, chopped and cleared the cattail field, and built and delivered resident patio garden boxes.

They left the grounds in tip-top shape, just in time for the rains to stop and the summer fun to begin. We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Windermere for showing up and pitching in!
¡Exito! La primera clase de educación para compradores de vivienda en persona en español.
Success! First In-Person Homebuyer Education Class in Spanish.
Following months of planning and preparation, the Homeownership Team, along with volunteer members of the N2N Homeownership Advisory Board, held our very first in-person, Spanish-language Homebuyer Education Class on June 10th.

The eight households that participated in this interactive training are now one giant step closer to achieving their dreams of homeownership. One couple left the following comment on their survey:

"Me gusta que alla este tipo de clase para primeros compradores. ¡Gracias por tenerlas en español! ("I like that there is this kind of class for first buyers. Thank you for having them in Spanish!")

We are grateful to our sponsors for helping us keep this program free for participants, and we are proud that this work helps remove potential homeownership barriers for our Spanish speaking neighbors. Congrats to all, and we look forward to our next Spanish language class in August.

Utility & Homeowner Assistance Programs
Assistance for Loveland Utility Customers

As the dog days of summer approach, it is comforting to know an additional source is now available to assist our neighbors in need, thanks to funding from the Help a Neighbor in Distress (HAND) Program. In partnership with House of Neighborly Service, N2N is now able to issue payment vouchers for qualifying City of Loveland Utility customers facing a loss of service due to an unpaid bill.

Visit our website to learn about qualifications and how to apply:
Homeowner Assistance Program

While most state and federal Covid-19 programs have expired, help is still available to homeowners struggling with housing expenses due to a pandemic-related financial hardship. Beyond mortgage payments, this program can also assist qualifying owners with home, condo and mobile home related expenses, such as:
- Association fees or liens
- Utilities
- Delinquent property taxes
- Home insurance payments
- Lot rent for owner-occupied mobile homes
- Pay down or payoff mobile home financing (aka chattel loans) to allow for the transfer of title and/or refinance
