Invite someone special to the library for an afternoon tea and book talk with writer and gardener Mary Agria. Join us Thursday, June 13th, at 2:00pm, for a book talk that will highlight the centrality of gardens in stories of creation, parables and myths over time and across the globe. Mary's lifetime as an award-winning writer has included work in journalism, nonfiction, newspaper columns, and novels. Much of her work features northern Michigan. Her credits include a gardening and spirituality column for the Petoskey News-Review as well as a history of Bay View in Petoskey. Many of Mary's novels feature the community, culture, and natural splendor of our area, such as her celebrated "Time in a Garden," about a crew of aging community gardeners. We hope you’ll join us for a pleasant afternoon with Mary, tea, treats and discussion. | |
