The Genealogy group meets at the library once a month and new members are always welcome! The group is made up of family historians interested in sharing resources and tips to accurately find their ancestors while helping others with their search.

The Story of Agriculture in South County w/ Tim Cranston

The one storyline that carries across the entire arc of South County's remarkable history is that of agriculture. From the "three sisters" planting strategies of the Narragansett people to the turf farms of today, agriculture has always been a part of what makes South County a special place. Hurricane History of Southern RI

Monday, June 24th- 6:00pm


We are partnering with the Narragansett Historical Society for a presentation on our hurricane history presented by Robert Muller. The lecture will focus on the historical record of hurricanes from 1635 until today. The library will also have a photo exhibit on display for the month of June. Registration required.

Air Brushing Art w/ Chase & Dad!

Wednesday, June 5th- 5:00pm


Children ages 7-10 are invited to come learn how to airbrush paint! Chase is a local 8 year old artist who with the help of his dad Mr. Maguire will teach you how to create designs and use an airbrush machine to make them come to life on a canvas tote bag you get to keep! All airbrush paint is water-based and non-toxic! Registration required.

Miss Rebecca's 5th & 6th Grade Book Club

Wednesday, June 12th- 6:00pm


5th & 6th graders are invited to join Miss. Rebecca to discuss the book "The Lost Library" by Rebecca Stead and Wendy Mass. Participants will get a free copy of the book to keep available in the Children's Room. The meeting is short and will include an activity, craft, and snack. Registration required.
