Your thoughtful gift Helps Neighbors in Need!

In Fairfax County, 62,861 people live in poverty and 14,164 of those are children. Many of these people live on less than $30,000 a year in the fifth wealthiest county in the United States. Unfortunately, enriching FCPA educational classes and programs are simply out of reach for them.

To help bridge that gap for individuals with limited financial means, those living in underrepresented areas, and people with intellectual and physical disabilities, FCPF continues to accept donations to support FCPA camps, class scholarships, and outreach programs that enrich, educate, and inspire your neighbors in need!

With your thoughtfulness, FCPF can fund impactful outreach programs and community events that provide equitable and inclusive access for our neighbors.

Every gift helps and contributions in any amount are welcome and appreciated! Generous donors of $500 or more will be listed on the Access to Camps, Classes & Equity Outreach Programs FCPF webpage.

Park Photographer's Favorite Moment of Beauty

"The Fairfax County Park Authority had just purchased a telephoto lens and I was taking it out for the first time to Huntley Meadows Park. I took my two sons with me Jacob (age 6) and Ben (age 3). Before walking onto the boardwalk I emphasized that this was a Wildlife Sanctuary and they needed to remain quiet, but said if they saw something that they could tell me. Jacob soon thereafter said in a very low voice 'like that bird flying behind us?' I turned around and took this photo of a great white egret landing."

-Don Sweeney, FCPA Photographer

Warmest wishes are extended to Don and his family in his retirement. We thank our long-time professional photographer for the countless photos that told stories beyond mere words. Don's work will continue to inspire many to enjoy, protect, preserve, and otherwise care for Fairfax County parks!
