Words from Guests:  June 14, 2017
"As a retired Navy Corpsman and working directly  and indirectly with the sick, injured and dying, I received 100's of accolades from 1,000's.  Now I want to return the favor by thanking Fisher House and its staff for showing my wife and I a great deal of hospitality and kindness.  From our arrival to our departure, Don and Marc have gone above and beyond their normal call of duty.  Thanks for making us feel welcome and at home."
June 6, 2017
"My husband is stationed at Tyndall AFB.  We are here because he had to have surgery on his back.  I am thankful for Fisher House because we have our 3 year old son with us.  We had to be here at 6:00 a.m. with a 2 hour drive that would have been a nightmare.  Thank goodness for this facility because it also gave me a place to bring our rambunctious toddler during their surgery and recovery time.  God bless the Fishers for these great facilities and the continued help for service embers and their families."

Events around town....
Michaela, our intern attended Eglin Connect
Jim Yurack and his wife Amy donated burgers and dogs for Memorial Day for our guests enjoyment.
BAE Systems donated tickets to a Blue Wahoos game.  These were so popular, when we ran out, we reached out to ask if they had anymore.  One of the employees shared their employee tickets and BAE hosted one of our families from Hurlburt.  They also just donated burgers and dogs so our guests could have a picnic on them!  Thanks to Dave and Jennifer and all our friends at BAE!
Crosspoint South - Crestview served ranger coffee and homemade goodies at their Sunday service Memorial Day weekend for a donation to your Fisher House. Results pending, we heard you were very generous with your support!
Heroes Miles needed by the Foundation

In Memory of General Bill Kirk
General Kirk passed away in April surrounded by his family.  He and his wife Nancy helped build the community we lovingly call the Emerald Coast through their service, both active duty and when they retired to Niceville.  If you know these two, they didn't retire, they were even busier.  Nancy encouraged those wishing to remember General Kirk make a donation to a cause he lived - blesssing military families and Fisher House has been overwhelmed with support through this great couple.  Please continue to keep the family in your prayers, they lost a great one with this one.  Rest in peace General Kirk and may your legacy live on in the lives you touched.
Community Ambassadors

Carolyn Espinoza, Dave and Diane Walbeck, Peter Karp, Keith Brown, Rhonda Hanson, Candy Otter and Wayne and Sheila Williams

We have seats on the bus......hop on today and make a difference in the lives of our military families!
