We are pleased to announce that the date for our annual fall fundraiser and auction is set! Mark your calendars to attend The Gala of Dreams on Saturday, October 9th!
This year’s event will be both in-person and virtual so everyone can attend, have fun, and support Birthday Dreams. The in-person event will be held at the beautiful and stylish Hyatt Regency Lake Washington in Renton.
We will be mailing the official save-the-date card in the mail soon, so keep an eye out for that!

We believe every child should be celebrated on their special day, and we are honored to help make that possible. Below is feedback from a mother who had to flee a domestic violence situation with her newborn and has been homeless since then. This young mother was overjoyed that Birthday Dreams was an available resource for her. |

Savannah's 1st Birthday Party!
At the end of May, we received a wonderful follow up from one of our parents. Siena was overjoyed that her 1 year old daughter, Savanna, was able to receive her first birthday party celebration due to the work that Birthday Dreams does. Siena wrote our office telling us: "This was one of the most amazing experiences my daughter and I have ever had. This past year has been rough. I did not think that we would be able to have a birthday party. Birthday Dreams is the only reason we were able to celebrate this most special and important day! Thank you!!!"

Community Support and Recognition |

The Miles for Smiles 5K has officially ended and we are pleased to announce that the event was a hit! We had over 100 participants and 25 teams take part in our inaugural spring 5K fundraiser.
Donations are still coming in, but to date we have raised over $13,000!
We also received many submissions for our Photo Scavenger Hunt contest and would like to announce that the winners have been selected!!
Individual Winner: Elora Das. Elora found 23 items!
Team Winner: Team Kang Cakes. This team found an amazing 33 items!
Winners will receive gift certificates from Whistle Stop Ale House for a complimentary drink on the house! We will be sending our winners the gift certificates later this week.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who participated, donated, and spread the word about the event. Mark your calendars for spring 2022 when we kick off next year's event!

Volunteer Spotlight | Brenna |
Brenna, a 17 year old high school junior, busy with school, AP and SAT tests, friends, college essays, after school activities, and working, knew her chances of hands-on volunteering would be limited this year, but set out to find a non-profit that she felt passionate about.
Brenna, from all of us at Birthday Dreams, THANK YOU, not just for the donation and time you are investing in creating memories for homeless youth but in the awareness of your community and desire to make it a special place for everyone! We are proud of you and we happen to know your parents are, too!
